The whole "expiration date" think with XBox One games is a let down, but it's essentially the same thing Sony's done for a while.
In fact, I'm pretty sure the only reason we get X360 games on a permanent basis is because of how the 360 and it's backend are programmed. That is, they CAN'T put an expiration date on 360 content without majorly overhauling the backend of that particular system. Score one for us I guess, but it also means that's the only place we get to see such giveaways in effect.
