This can end with the best possible outcome for me. Although, even so, it'll be sad knowing that there will be no interesting sports to care about until September--and that's assuming there isn't a labor crisis and the season gets locked out. :(

I didn't really care about this game, but I am most definitely happy to see Roethlisberger lose. That rat bastard. But I was hoping for a better showing from Shaun Suisham,the Steelers kicker and lone Canadian representative at the Super Bowl. My God, that 52-yarder was the most pathetic field goal attempt I think I've ever seen. Our country hangs its head in shame.

Amen to that.. In theory it could have been a awesome halftime show but the production team royally fucked up the sound system.. The levels where so incredibly messed up, they might has well have been screaming over 100,000 people with no sound system at all, plus the supporting band was mixed so low, you couldn't hear the music at all... It sounded like they where screaming lyrics with no melody. The dancing and cool lighting effects with the dancers costumes where the shows only saving grace.. But it dosn't make up for the horrible sound production. If it where me, what ever company setup the sound system, I would call for there head in the nearest courtroom. A screwup that colossal is just unforgivable. They just completely ruined what could have been a fantastic show.

Not to mention the giant LOI'E stage they were performing on.

The whole thing was just so cobbled together it didn't resemble anything. The Black Eye Peas, Usher, and Slash? Where the hell does Slash fit in? And I dunno, I thought the one dude from the Peas looked like Clark Griswolds Christmas lights and the whole people in light-up suits reeked of the problem with music today: Give people enough to look at and they won't realize you can't sing without autotune.

Actually, compared to what we got last year by the shambling zombie corpses of The Who, it wasn't all that bad.

Last year's made me want to weep, because The Who is an all-time favorite band and seeing them in such pathetic form kind of killed me a bit. The low point was Pete Townshend's belly escaping his belt and flopping out. It looked like he had a Snorlax shoved down the front of his trousers.

I could at least sit through Zombie The Who, I had to turn off the Black Eyed Peas because their performance was just so bad.

But apparently not as bad as Christina Aguilera.

Truth be told, I was too busy cringing and commenting to others watching the game at how bad her rendition was to notice the lyric flub. I didn't read about it till later.

It was not a musically kind Superb Owl.
