WOW. That's really, really messed up and tragic. What a terrible way to go. :( I have his jersey (the only jersey of a player I own) and he was one of the biggest reasons why I became a fan of the Titans in the first place. This is horrible. This is a huge loss for his family, the Titans organization, and football in general.
Quote:McNair began his career in 1995 with the Houston Oilers, who eventually became the Titans, and finished with 31,304 yards passing and 174 touchdowns. McNair played with pain for several years, and the injuries ultimately forced him to retire.
The highlight of his playing time might have been a five-game stretch at the end of the 2002 season when he was so banged up he couldn't practice. McNair started all five games and won them all, leading the Titans to an 11-5 finish and a berth in the AFC championship game for the second time in four seasons.
That guy was the bane of my team's existence for many years. Only when the Titans were miserable as a team could Pittsburgh ever beat him.
Hell, Pitt has traditionally owned the Baltimore Ravens, but the one year he started for them, they beat the Steelers twice by a combined score of 64-7, and it was the only season Baltimore ever swept the series with Pittsburgh.
I wasn't sorry to see him retire, but that's because he always had our number. Otherwise, he was a great QB and, like George Washington, played with two sets of testicles. This is a sorry tragedy.
I'm dating the girl. The other guy hates both of us and hates life and hates the world and hates God and hates our healthcare system and hates illegal immigrants and hates puppies and hates himself. In other words, happily ever after if I'm the main character. :)

Murder-suicide where the woman was the killer, huh? Much less common than the other way around, but obviously it happens... horrible either way, though. :(
