    Well I guess that explains all the Star Soldier stuff popping up on the VC.

    I'd never played a Star Soldier game before I bough SSS on the VC, but I have to say I like the series from what I've seen. I'll have to watch for more on this one.

    No, I think that I heard that Hudson was gauging interest in the series by putting stuff up on VC... I'd say that it's likely that the stuff did well, so they decided to follow up with a new Wii game.

    So, will we see Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth (N64) on VC too? It was the only 2d (3d graphics, 2d gameplay) shmup released in the US on the N64 and, not couning the Japan-only PS2/GC remake of the original Star Soldier, the last new game in the series. I got that game years back because I liked shmups and, mediocre reviews or no, I wanted one for the N64 and that was pretty much the only one around. It's good... not great, but good. There's some amusing Engrish in the thing, particularly with the voice acting. :)
