Cheesy? Are you sure you are using the right word? How is setting up a bomb for others to walk into later a cardboard monster in the background of a B movie or bad dialog?
I have noticed that the time from landing on the ground and being able to act is pretty much instant now. However, the old "shuffling" tricks and the ability to use shield to null out land delay is now out. With Mario and Luigi's up B attack resulting in a somewhat bigger delay than I remember that can matter. However, I think eliminating those "high end" techniques will even out the meta game and keep exploits from becoming major gameplay altering moves.
Ganondorf's adjustments make him more interesting to me. Even his pose lets him use a sword now so it still comes off odd that he never uses it in his moves, but there's something to be said for his new running grab. I also like his up B now as it is easier to connect than the Captain Falcon style move. I will note that he seems to have a shorter jump though.
Sonic is fast... very fast... do not get the bunny hood if you play him until you get used to that speed!
Snake's smash attack moves are really hard to connect, so I don't consider him overpowering in his current form. The issue is that while they are pretty powerful, the down smash doesn't immediatly go off and is useless up at the enemy. The up smash works like a projectile and has good range, but has a really small hit box. The forward smash is really powerful, though it's one lacking is that it is almost more of a down smash in terms of where it goes off. Snake is a good character, but I wouldn't call him overpowering. His moves are usually easy to dodge.
