And the DS doesn't have photo/video editing software and the ability to link with computers and cellphones or show you a current weather 3D model of the world, or have news uplinks. And so on.
I think the debate was on the price. Making that saved data accessible to the user isn't going to cost them anything in terms of hardware. All that software is just... software. I'll be honest, I think all those little side applications should have been sold seperatly if the development cost of that software is represented in the price of the system. I do have a laptop which can do the job better and in high res.
