Well someone gets it.
Art is a great thing but yes as we express it it is pretty distinctly specific not just to humans but to individuals. If we are going to announce "we are here", we need to use the language that is universal, some expression that is likely to be seen for what it is everywhere. Only thing I can think of is physics. Drop off rate of gravity is the same everywhere, even if the gravity of their world is greater the drop off rate is the same. So, we need the impersonal touch.
