Hadn't heard about this, but wow the predictions, and this system was actually TOO well designed for it's own good! Look at that fatal flaw! The radius of the wireless controllers was TOO BIG (it would have affected other 2700s in the neighborhood).
So the Japanese HAVE seen an Atari system http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atari_2800 . I wonder if they talk about it among the most hard core of the hard core in the same way we might talk about something like the Sega SG-1000?
