The history of Star Trek videogames is long and almost entirely completely uninspiring... a few were worth mentioning, but they were more the exceptions than the rule, I think.
True. I've not played many Trek games, but the ones I have seem to be all looks and little game. I'll be cautiously optimistic about this one, just as others I've seen.
Well, if i were you, I'd hold off to see if it's a stinker before making such a large purchase. Even huge games are tough to warrant a $400-$500 purchase.
Anyone heard about that Star Trek MMO? I hope it's not all RPG, because honestly I can't see Star Trek working that way in MMO form. From what I've read, they intend on allowing a player to go through a whole Star Fleet career, and I really hope it doesn't just involve going on away missions to kill 30000000 slimes over and over again until the end of it. I want something more adventury, with things like political stuff.
