    they're both sexy, imo...

That and these actually look pocket friendly. I also like the white color, and I'm sure it would look nice in other colors as well.

Different pics I think, but the same exact topic as this recent thread...

Are these official concept designs or just some mock ups some bunch came up with?

They're just mock-ups that some guys made.

    It's the DS SP!

Some of those are kind of nice, though I don't see the problem with the current design...

    Oh...

Well still, they are interesting, though there are the technical limitations to keep in mind.

The top one does not show any speakers, unless that's those slots on the top screen. Those are a little close together. I wonder if the human ear can notice the difference in casual play?
The hinged controller sections are also interesting. However, I wonder if it could really be that thin. There does after all have to be space for the bottom screen to actually fit in the system. There is also some sort of analog stick built in. Sorry, I don't see Nintendo doing that. That would really be bad. It would be like making the SP with the X and Y buttons and making games supporting that. It would be nice for those with the SP, sure, but Nintendo realizes leaving the poor folks who can't afford to buy ANOTHER GBA out in the cold is just bad business. They add "comfort features" in remodelled systems, not game related features.

The slide open feature is nice, but is it durable? It's a fact, if you have paper thin plastic at the end of a sliding "rail", out and about in the world, it's stress levels WILL be tested. Unless that's made of some sort of substance like "unobtanium" I have doubts it would be strong enough for that inevitable arm shove or system drop.

You can always tell these player-made mockups from the real thing because they never look as good, or as possible...

Something similar could work. The power button does need to be out of reach though. It has to be hard to shut off the power to a game machine. Quick, but it should take some effort. This prevents accidents.
