By the end that house BECAME rainbow road.
And, I have this feeling ALL those wires end up at a home PC and a custom builtomagigor. Did he actually play that music at that volume, or was it added later? Hopefully the former, hiding behind "da season" is about the only way to actually get away with submitting others in the neighborhood to ultraload music. Also, what is this, the world's fair? We've moved ON from light bulbs!

My God, that's incredible! The effort that must have taken!
Although, I'm sure that they usually just keep every light on most of the time, and turn on the big display with music every so often to show friends and onlookers. Word will spread about something like that, soon you've got news crews at your door :D. If they kept that on a constant loop, the novelty would wear off quickly and not only would your neighbors be calling the cops on you, but from living in that house you'd have a permanent headache the entire Christmas season. Still though, that's absolutey amazing. I watched it twice with my jaw hanging open. Bravo to the dedication! By the way, I'm interested in that music. Anybody know what it is or who did it? Sounds kinda like Mannheim Steamroller or something to that effect. Can someone help me out here? This song will be stuck in my head for days!

I'm leaning more towards Trans-Siberian Orchestra, myself.

Come to think of it, you're probably right. This does sound more like something they'd come out with.

Friggin awesome. I wonder if that was done with X10.

I'm thinking it's probably Trans-Siberian Orchestra too.

It is. Upon showing the video to one of my co-workers, who has seen TSO in concert, that is indeed the source.

Damn, I'm good.
I saw them in concert last year, they play in Richmond around thanksgiving every year. They rock. Too bad I missed them this year.

Never heard of them. Am I a bad person?

Inherently.
As far as I know, they're a band/orchestra that plays primarily christmas music. I'm sure you've heard them on the radio before, even if you don't remember. They're most famous for their incredible rendition of "O Holy Night/O Come All Ye Faithful".

I don't recall actually hearing anything like that, but I haven't actually listened to the radio in years. In fact the last time I recall doing so was when I was holed up under a staircase while sirens went off outside, and it wasn't music they were broadcasting so much as news.
I will say this. I really can't be surprised I've never heard of them if all they play is Christmas music. It isn't as though that's something everyone will be talking about down by the watering hole or something.

Here's more info, and that page has a link to instructions on how to do it yourself.
