But you bring up a good point; that the GameCube is a virtually obsolete system... there aren't any truly epic games coming out for it, and it's getting raped in the ass by Sony and Microsoft. How distressing.

Hey we just got the awesome Jungle Beat, and some... other stuff... is coming out soon, and then of course Zelda which will be out in time for the holiday season. It is the XB that will stop seeing any more big games after April, pretty much.

Nintendo's long-lost peripheral makes a return for a new generation of gamers.
    by Craig Harris

April 1, 2005 - Nintendo will be moving the Classic NES Series forward this year with a brand new entry to the franchise on the Game Boy Advance. The Shoreham, VT. Pennysaver has secured the exclusive report that Nintendo will be releasing Gyromite as the next title in the Classic NES Series, joining the ranks of games such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Excitebike as retro returns.

Though Nintendo of America has not officially revealed the product, the April 1-7 Pennysaver mailer has the first photos and details of the unit and game.

According to the Pennysaver, "Nintendo's Robotic Operating Buddy, also known as the R.O.B., will be reduced in size in a new model called R.O.B. Mini." The device, according to the free publication, will be a quarter sized of the original R.O.B. peripheral that kicked off the Nintendo Entertainment System in the U.S.

    Shoreham, VT Pennysaver.

"R.O.B. single-handedly made the Nintendo Entertainment System a household name," stated a Nintendo representative in the Pennysaver article. "This peripheral is the sole reason why the system sold countless millions of NES consoles, and we felt it was time to pay him the respect he deserves more than 20 years later. If he did that for the NES, just think of what he can do for the GBA."

The Pennysaver's exclusive prevented Nintendo from sending other members of the press images of the R.O.B. Mini, though we were able to confirm the device after discovering the full-color box art of Gyromite.

Before press time we managed to speak with a company representative. "R.O.B. kicked all kinds of ass, didn't he?" said the spokesperson. "Can't wait to see all the games that utilized that awesome peripheral, like Gyromite and...uh...wait, it'll come to me...shoot, what was that other game?"

That would be awesome if they really did it. Today, though, I don't believe anything I hear.

IGN also says that they're going to do the Zapper games for DS. With a special Zapper stylus. :) ... that one's not as cool as R.O.B. for GBA, though.
