Then its no football then!
I suggest Namco gets the rights to the CFL,Then we can promote it to americans and then ticket sales and money can be pumped up into my cold wasteland country.Alot of the players are american and same with the coaches its basically another farm crop for the NFL. I think Sega and Namco should try to get full exclusive rights to the NBA in revenge thats like the only second major sports game genre!

OK EA this is over kill ! Let Sega's dead corspe rest a bit I think. You know what its gonna be up to gamers and consumers to stand up to EA for this agression and imperialism. They couldnt beat sega fair sqaure there over the top arogance that they once thought that they would always win even if their game was inferior now they know people realized it was crap so now this is the only way to keep a iron fist football.

Yeah, isn't EA's nice new gift to sports fans great?

In the not too distant future:
Quote:Electronic Arts broke the calm of a national holiday today by announcing a licensing deal of epic proportions. EA reached a deal with God [and possibly Satan] that for the next one billion years, EA will be the sole licensee of the human body as well as written/spoken words, which will include console, handheld, PC, wireless games, and real life.

And only $1 billion dollars, too!
17th January 2005, 6:20 PM
EA is due for a good boycott.
17th January 2005, 6:57 PM
I think that's a good idea. From this moment on I will refrain from buying any Electronic Arts games.
... ... Until they release something that I want.
Sometimes you get the scorpion.

Yeah, that's exactly the problem... they release so many games that such a boycott would be unenforcable...
17th January 2005, 7:55 PM
A attempt would get the message across atleast.
17th January 2005, 9:52 PM
The main problem with that is that they're just doing what essentially every other gaming company in the world would do if they had money and resources like EA does...
17th January 2005, 9:56 PM
Wow. Did anyone notice the amount EA paid for this deal with ESPN?
between $750 and $850 million... that is a lot. But the total obliteration of all of their competition in the market that is EA's biggest money machine, sports games, is obviously worth any price.
18th January 2005, 8:21 AM
It would be so hilarious if this blew up in EA's face.
Sometimes you get the scorpion.
18th January 2005, 10:39 AM
With the amounts of money they are spending, wouldn't that be great?
18th January 2005, 2:14 PM
They've spent about 2 billion dollars already...

Go, Nazi football! Hitler will be the quarterback!
Hitler: Mein leiderhosen!!
Sometimes you get the scorpion.

Al Michaels: Hitler had a big day out there, John. 397 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT.
John Madden: Yeah, you know, he bombed the fuck out of the secondary like they were Poland and it was 1939. You know, there are right ways and wrong ways of playing coverage, and if the quarterback throws at will, it's probably safe to say the secondary isn't playing correctly. Al Michaels: That may be the most ridiculously obvious observation I've ever heard. John Madden: Turducken! Penny Arcade is always awesome, despite what some people say.

Well some people are jerks.

PA is sometimes pretty good, but then other times it's just really stupid. That one's good.
This one's just stupid (and that's not a good thing). ![]()

Well you can't understand random humor.
26th January 2005, 4:11 PM
Humor requires something to be 'funny', though... that isn't...
The Hitler Madden (and music) thing is funny, though. :)
26th January 2005, 11:48 PM
That had to be the funniest thing I ever saw @ the Hitler-Madden connection. That one almost made me spit out my milk.

A Black Falcon Wrote:Humor requires something to be 'funny', though... that isn't... Dude, come on... you're not exactly the most quick-witted person I know. You "don't get" a lot of stuff. Just flies right past you. So you're the last person who should proclaim what's funny or not.
27th January 2005, 1:30 PM
I know if I think it's funny or not. That one I posted is stupid. If it has any "humor" value it's becaue of how moronic it is, and that should not be a goal of decent humor...
