That FAQ answers a few questions. Like I said, I'm still REALLY looking forward to it, and it's obvious there's still a lot of freedom in the game, but you know, some of the things they removed are just a tad frustrating... The lack of the horsies and the inability to swim I can deal with well enough I suppose (though those WOULD have been sweet :D). The lack of customizing the gender also kinda sucks. It's not all that important to me really. It's just that in pretty much any game where you can design your main character from scratch that's always allowed, except in this one. It would just be nice for that added bit of customization, ya know? Well, that too I can deal with well enough and still love the rest of what the game provides. However, the biggest deal, like what OB1 thinks, is calling back the multiplayer like OB1 said. Well, that's odd, off topic to the point where we actually discuss the topic of ANOTHER thread. Oh well :D. Anyway, the multiplayer was certainly something I was REALLY looking forward to in a game of this sort of freedom. I'll still end up getting it I'm sure, but you know... I really wanted the multi, and maybe some really nice voice masks so I'd be able to really role play those characters online.
Well, with the stuff they've had to take out I just hope for ONE thing now. I certainly hope they keep Live support open and design the game to support online updates. After the game is released, they can then release the bits they couldn't add during the normal scheduling like horse riding and swimming (to allow bodies of water to still be a barrier, just add a fatigue meter like in Wind Waker), and the ability to design a female character, and eventually multiplayer. So, let's just hope they at least have a content download option in the game when it's released.
