Well, my example was purely a joke you know. I never thought one could ACTUALLY build their own monsters that can be killed 12000 different ways with virtual berries alone... Yes, it's not as bad as all that (really? You can't take kids along? But, Final Fantasy does it all the time, and so do a LOT of games, and so did 50's cheesy super hero cartoons!), but still a lot of stuff has been sorta nixed. I guess it was in the sense you say, that they weren't specific on what you could and couldn't do at first and slowly they started telling us the limitations.
