Wow, this is cool. I remember when we talked about this rumor a long time back. Even then I realized that for Namco to get away with this, they would have to pacify MS and Sony with their own exclusive characters. The Tekken character is interesting, though it seems he shall be the only one who's "soul edge" is his own fists. Spawn looks cool enough, though I was never really a fan of the guy. Oh, and for anyone complaining about him looking modern or whatever, isn't time travel easily possible for demonic/angelic entities? It seems the Link they picked was the OOT/MM Link, in adult form. Now then, I wonder what stories these three will have? I suspect that Link either wants to destroy the evil sword (if the game's story still revolves around a corrupting sword of darkness), or take it for himself and master it (like he did with the evil mask of darkness in MM, though I do wonder whether or not that mask corrupted him or not...). Spawn is likely still trying to keep himself from rolling into a ball and having a huge pity party about how tortured and lost he is I think. Meanwhile, the Tekken guy likely confused these battles for a tournament and is fighting under false pretences.
However, for those like me, there is a slight problem. Here's three new characters, likey having totally different moves and styles of fighting, and I have to pick one because I can't just buy all three versions. It is likely though that maybe each of these three is just a different "skin" for an existing character, like Link for Sophia's kid (forget her name, the sword and shield girl), or Spawn for Asteroth (or the other ax using guy), or the Tekken fellow for...well I can't really think of anyone in the original that didn't use a weapon.
