That's bizarre... i'm lookintg at it right now, it says 1 day and 8 hours left...
What happens if you look at it with a different browser? or dump your cookies and cache?

Same in IE after deleting cache, history, and cookies.

I think Gamespot's timers are broken. It's saying 8 hours till the Sony press conference which they list as being on at 4:00 PM PDT. So either they've got the wrong time or their timers messed up, or Sony changed the time and they didn't update it.

No, it's correct... Sony conference starts at 4 PM PDT, and the counter says 6 1/2 hours left, which is right...

I think they must be starting the feed an hour early, because the timer puts it at 7:00 PM, but 4:00 PM PDT is 8 PM eastern. Oh well, I'll be watching it whenever it starts anyway.
Lazy, would you mind if I come by your place after work to watch so I don't have to frantically rush home and wreck and die?
