I have a warrentee still in effect for my DS. I can wait until the new model comes out and Best Buy sells out of the old model, then demand a replacement because of some dead pixels. Since the people working there don't care about their job, they will likely try to satisfy me by simply providing the new model, and off I go.

That is, if the new model is actually better than the old. I'm thinking maybe they could layer the two screens on top of each other, and when you fold the top one up, you can actually "slide" the bottom part down and fold it so suddenly the top screen is facing forward and covering the one underneath. In this way, it doesn't take up so much space when in use. It would do the trick for playing GBA games in that mode. Otherwise, just fold it fully "out" and you have normal DS functions.

It could also be designed like an SP with 3 folds and a twist, or something...

I want it to conserve some space basically.

Given it's succes in Japan and Europe minus Britain, I doubt it'll come out anytime soon.

Perhaps... While it's pretty much confirmed a remodel is in the works, all the estimates for when such a remodel might come out have been pure speculation.

All of those designs suck, they just made it smaller. What we need is a way of being able to hit the face buttons while using the stylus for left and right hand players.

Imagine the VB controller with the dual screens in the middle and you get the idea. D-Pad on both sides, face buttons on both sides. Not only is this great for 3-D games that dont use the stylus and allow for people to choose which side they want their d-pad, but it also means that no matter what hand you use for the stylus, you still have access to face buttons and d-pad giving you (theorhetically) more interactivity in the game. It's the obvious choice. Otherwise a vertical design could work so that you hold the middle of it with access to d-pad with face buttons directly under it or next to it giving the player one-handed play between them while devoting the other hand to stylus, this would remove alot of the problem as well.

Ever try to play Mario 64 DS with jumping, ducking, grabbing, etc on the D-Pad? It's horrible. We NEED access to the face buttons! Also, an analog, soft, 'raised' d-pad would be nice. Though a stick would come in handy.

Think of it this way, Nintendo's probably going to offer alot of DS/Revo connectivity and the revcon is primarily used with one hand. If we can access the DS one-handed with the d-pad and face buttons easily available, we're in business and you could effectively use both at once.
