I'm always the only one who ever knows how to find the cow image, so I decided to try and make it easier.

You'll notice a new button on the post screen now, on the very right of the editor. It uses the new COW tag.

Basically, I had to cheat to make this work, so what you do is either click the button or do a [ cow ] [/ cow] tag. Something has to go in-between the tags (that being the problem I encountered), but it doesn't matter what. Type anything. Once you do, you'll have a cow!

How about the 'Returners' image too? That also used to be a tag one, and it's just as hard to find as the cow was...[COW]cow[/COW]

Cool... I just tried it with internet explorer and got the javascript prompt. Back at the apartment, I tried it in firefox, and just got the "[cow]" tag. Is there a way to fix that, so the button inserts the "[ c o w ] [ / c o w ]" tag?

Is there also a way to fix it so it puts in an arbitrary character like a period or space, a la "[ c o w ] . [ / c o w ]"? Although putting whitespace (spaces, carriage returns, etc) might not insert the image. Let me try...

Okay, just putting in spaces and carriage returns removes the tag. Sorry if you checked on this already, btw.

It will use both sets of tags if you have the WYSIWYG version of the editor enabled.

I could not make it work with an arbitrary character, believe me, I tried. Any text I insert as part of the tag will appear within the brackets, as the brackets are added by the software itself.

But isn't that the one with the annoying popup boxes for quotes and stuff? I do not use it...

I would only suggest using it in smily form once again. I know it stretched the really big overall window, but that wasn't too annoying, was it?

No. It just places tags in the input window. You can also highlight the text and it will automatically wrap tags around what's highlighted, which I love.

I certainly thought so. That's why I made it so that all the small smilies were near the top of the list.
