Okay guys I got an idea. We scrap the screen and make it into goggles, linked by a wire to the main CPU, an mp3-sized device the player wears on his/her belt! The sound is transmitted by earphones!

Nononono wait the main thing is going to be a hairpin with the CPU inside, and the player will wear the screen like a monocle! And they'll be linked by infrared!! wait, or maybe!... yeah.. and the player plays by blinking his eye left or right!! S@WEET! YES- NO! IT'S GONNA BE A CHIP THAT GETS IMPLANTED INTO THEIR OPTIC NERVES AND THEY PLAY BY MOVING THEIR JAW MCUSCLES!!!!!1 I'M A FUCKING GENIUS!@!! HAHAHAHAHAARFGHAHFA!!!!!

Quote:Here's another thing. Can it even play GBC or GB games? My guess is no. My guess is that in order to shrink it down as much as possible, the GBC chip in there was removed outright.

    DJ got it right, unfortunately.

Quote:The games themselves plug into the bottom of the unit, and given the system's size, it's quite odd seeing the device with no cartridge plugged into it -- it's like holding a plastic shell. Unfortunately, the GBM is only compatible with GBA games, so if you're hoping to play your old copy of Oracle of Seasons or Revenge of the Gator, you're outta luck.

    I was afraid of this...

Nintendo has constantly talked about the REAL successor to the GBA.

This wasn't it, was it? You know how translations can mislead...

That picture is seriously freaking me out.

I can totally see N-Man's 'jaw movement oriented' system. The system could make you better at oral sex!

Oh and Reggie said "This isn't the succesor to GBA, but an expansion."

GBA Micro... hmm. Oh, it looks cool, but the downsides... smaller screen, no GC link, new link cable required, no GB/GBC backwards compatibility... are pretty significant. I love the fact that I can just use any of my GB games in my GBA, without worrying about if it's a grey, black, clear, or half-sized cart...

    1. Smaller screen
    2. Need to buy a new cable
    3. No GB/GBC backwards compatability

That's strike three, you're out! I was thinking about getting one of these but not now.

A Black Falcon Wrote:Um, does this mean you need a new link cable and it's not compatible with the GC-GBA cable? How nice...

I'll bet you that was one of the reasons they decided to make it.

Yes it looks very cool but I would be much more happy with a GBA SP 2. Give it the same cool looking metal casing and design that the Gameboy Micro has. Give it the same screen only at regular size. And while you're at it throw in a headphone jack and if possible built-in wireless. It'd be perfect.
