I'm sure we have an old thread, but it'd be too hard to find... anyway, it's been confirmed. Interesting... four CD games on a Gamecube disk? Or will it need two?

Oh, it's Mega Man X1-X6 and Mega Man Battle & Chase. No X7 or X8 from PS2, but I didn't really expect those here...

I'm definitely getting this. Is it also coming out for the PS2? The GC pad sucks for 2D games.

Yes, it is. GC and PS2.

Will I get it? Probably... but I do already have X1, 4, and 5, so it's not certain. If they'd included 7 (both of the new ones would be too much to ask for, like MM&B in MMAC) it'd be much more certain, but without it, it's just four games I don't have, and one is Battle & Chase, which I know nothing about...

X2 is one of the best ones, so you definitely need to get it.

If they'd just released X2 and X6 for PC... but they didn't. And X3 was rare.

One thing to remember is the games didn't actually take up the whole disk, and they can compress things a lot more when there's higher disk reading speeds.

ABF, you have a pretty bad habbit of REALLY overestimating how much space certain things take up :D.

It's okay though... At any rate, trust me on this, the SNES games will take up so little space that won't even concern them. MMX3 will likely be the Saturn version instead of the SNES version, because that version had FMVs and a few other extras, so there's that. MMX4, 5, and 6 will be on there too. It's small, and it'll be a tight fit, but they just need to use some good compression (a LOT better than what the poor PS1 had, and don't worry, they've done it already). My concern isn't fitting the FMVs on there. I'm sure there's room for all that. The music actually takes up the majority of the space... But, MMX4 on PS1 actually used completely uncompressed music... Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll all fit...

Three CDs, yes. A GC disk is as large as 3 CDs. But four? Some of them better be not full CDs, or compressable...

I'm pretty sure that the PC version of X3 also has that stuff.

Meh. The original series was better than the X games. Not to say they're bad, but I'd take my MMAC over this collection any day, but I *might* get this.
