"Spring" break for us is February 26th to March 13th (Saturday to Sunday there)... it's not spring according to the calendar and it's quite definitely still winter outside, so it doesn't have much to do with "spring". Between the cold and the snow and the fact that it starts in February... yeah...

The last few years one thing we've done during spring break is cross-country skiing. :)

And the good side of the break being then is that you can still ski... :) In April you couldn't, probably.

It's halfway through the semester... start mid January, break first two weeks of March, end early May... that's about the same amount of time on each side of the break.

It was a bit annoying to start two weeks earlier than many colleges (that's why we have the first two weeks as break instead of the last two, because of when we started), but hey... it means we're DONE two weeks earlier as well... :)
