Just a little matter of note:

This server has 500MB of space. Right now we've got about 30MB free. We've got a lot of crap on here, and it's starting to reach critical mass.

There are 100MB of attachments on this forum alone. I'd appreciate it if some of us who know we have a lot of attached files here would go into the admin CP, under the Attachment Manager, look through their attachments, and start clearing out old ones, that you know you no longer need.

Also, those of you with FTP access, I would appreciate if you would login and moderate things that you have on there that might be contributing to the cramped conditions.

This is not a complaint per se, because I'm as guilty as everyone. I merely want to resolve this issue before performance ends up affected.

Thanks to everyone in advance. If you need help, let me know. [Image: smile.gif]

    Looking at the FTP...

For the most obvious fix, get rid of Lazy's 80mb video... or should I just do it? I'm pretty sure it's the one he said he'd remove eventually but didn't, obviously. It's good, but we obviously don't have the space to keep such things on the server.

Lazy's other two video files on the server are there too... I thought we'd gotten rid of those two last time it got close to full, Weltall... those total another 65mb. Get rid of those three and I don't think we have a problem anymore. 200mb free, not 40. :)

Sounds like a plan... Much better idea than just deleting image files, which could take a long time with little effect.

Yes, image files are small... you'd need to get rid of a LOT to clear up much space and then we'd have all kinds of posts full of broken images... something we don't want to do until we have to. :)

I find it easier to host images on a website like 1asphost, which has 99 MB and allows off-site image hosting for free. :) Run out of room? Start a new account!

Yeah, you may want to look into that sometime... though not right now, as every so often getting rid of Lazy's videos should continue to be effective for some time. :)

You don't have to get rid of the comics. I made a part specifically for them on the forum, so it'd be foolish to demand they be removed.

As I said, removing Lazy's movies will be more than enough.

Yeah, but remember to spell it correctly: 1asphost, not 1aphost. The third character is an s. :)

Well, I wasn't really thinking that I'd have to. Besides, it took over 100 to use up 26MB and I really doubt I'll make that many more.
