That's what that the dude said to me! You need nine keys to get into the Sky Temple, but then later I figured out it was just the nine keys that I already HAD.

Lo, these keys of which you speak of... they aint so bad.

It's the scanning for 100% that's really ass. Ass on top of ass. Ass Sandwich.

    Flame grilled.

I beat it and i'm in HARD MODE (!), it's pretty awesome. everything takes about twice as many hits to kill and you lose energy about twice as much per attack. But I found out I missed a scan towards the start of the game and I can never get it back ever in a million years and I have to start a new game, tough titty toe nails for me but it adds replay if you consider completely DICKING YOUR GAME PLAYING AUDIENCE IN TO PLAYING AGAIN RETRO FUCKING FUCKSTICK AND FUCKS YOU KINDLY, THANK YOU VERY MUCHO, FUCKERS.

I like Quadraxis though. He kick your ass. He kick your face.

He kick your balls in to outer space.

But... the Luminoth. What's up with that? Moth people? Hello? First we have the Chozo who are omnipotant BIRDS, and now we have MOTHS? Do not birds consume moths!? Do! They often will, in fact sometimes exclusively HUNT and KILL moths on a WHIM for the pure sake of ENJOYMENT because birds EAT moths! I'm going to get Retro Studios a spoon for Christmas so they can eat my ass. Yes Retro! WOULD YOU LIKE SOME MILK TO GO WITH MY ASS COOKIES?? HOW ABOUT SOME FUCK YOU MILK FROM FUCK YOU COWS!

btw I imagined OB1 to be much shorter.

    Much... much shorter.

Okay, you know how I said that I had to get nine more keys and then I said I found out that it was the keys that I had? Well...it turns out I DO have to find nine MORE keys.

lazy, I remember having to start new games to get a couple scans I missed in Metroid Prime 1 as well. Namely, that first boss that spits out wasps, I wasn't aware there was this scannable thing you could only scan by diving off the platform underwater and taking a looksy.

DJ you can scan all the parts of that machine and the Ram War Wasps from the platform. Besides, during that sub-boss fight (since it's before you defeat Flaaghra) the water is toxic.

The first time I played Prime 1 I scanned everything except only half of the Ice Shriekbats, which only appear once. The next time I played I scanned those suckers and got 100% (evil Dark Samus hand from the phazon!). The scan i'm talking about in Prime 2 are when the pirates enter the hologram defense turrets; you get one shot in the entire game to scan those puppies.

Grated Rumbler, there's 9 Sky Temple keys which are scattered all over Dark Aether. For Dark Agon Wastes, Dark Torvus Bog and the Hive you need 3 keys for each (in order to reach the temple) which are found in their own respective areas.

I've also decided that we will someday learn that we're all just living containers for an omnipotant race.

Well you don't have to scan ALL the enemies, just one instance of each enemy type.

Well, right.... I never said you had to scan an enemy more than once. So I agree with you.

Oh wait, I understand. You think I said "Half the population of the ice shriekbats". No, I litteraly had a half-full "scan bar" on the ice shriekbats before they charged at me and killed themselves. Meaning that I wasn't able to scan them thus finishing that game with a 99% Logbook. There are 6 ice shriekbats in the entire game and they live in phendrana in an alcove. If you get too close they charge at you and then they're dead; you'll never be ale to scan them again after that. It's a penis thing for Retro to do... but atleast it's not a shine spark wild goose chase where you have to keep your charge for half an hour just to get a missle tank.

Metroid Echoes has multiple endings (in a Metroid game are you crazy!?!?) and one of the coolest ones is only unlocked after getting atleast 75% of your logbook and items; The best ending of course is with 100% logbook and items. Which I will not get to see, thanks to Retro's assness (...and partly due to my stupidity blowing up a Vigilance class turret without scanning it)

(okay so mostly my stupidity, but still.)

Man I know what you mean lazy, the scanning is the biggest pain in the game. I know it's optional... but dammit I can't just leave everything unscanned! And then some of the bosses were impossible to scan, like the spider ball boss who you had to scan before you knew you were going to fight him.

    Ugh.

Okay, I just read what the 75% ending is...I've must beat MP2 again and if you know what I know about the 75% ending you'll agree with me that that is the only viable course of action at this point. *leaves to go scan stuff*

Man, have you even see Zebraman yet?? It's crazy tokusatsu stuff from Miike!

And if the Echoes ending is anything like Prime's ending, it won't be much more than Samus in her long underwear (this time ZM-styled!).

Um GR, you are aware it's like your little town that doesn't have it, but it is SURROUNDED by access, right? How does it feel to essentially be in a reverse desert?

    GR: ....

DJ: You know because it's like you are in a patch of arid wasteland in the middle of a vast oasis?

GR: I get it. I ain't laughing, but I GET it.

DJ: You know you take the fun outta living...

There are parts of rural Maine without cable, I'm pretty sure... thankfully we live in a town. And not a really rural one. :)
