The DS is two weeks away and Rayman is launching with it, yet we still haven't been told what it's going to be like. All we got was a doctored screenshot (that used an n64 screenshot). I don't get it.

Maybe it'll be delayed to December or something?

It's going to be so awesome that if you saw what it was going to be like before you played it you'd have a heart attack.

I bet that's what Ubisoft wants us to believe!

And I doubt it'll get delayed. Not many games game delayed two weeks before they're supposed to come out.

    True... but who knows?

Anyway, if it's just Rayman 2 and not a new game I won't be too interested because I have that game already...

Yeah but for games I plan on getting...

Otherwise I'd try not to think of them. That's why I don't make wishlists for rare 70's hotrods.

    Nah, making lists is fun.

And by 'routinely' I don't mean all the time or something, but when I make a list... often around christmas or my birthday... but sometimes other times too. :)

I bet you leave your lists lying around your parent's house, right? Hoping that they'll take note of them.

Mr. Falcon (that's ABF's dad): Hey what's this honey? *picks up list*

Mrs. Falcon (ABF's mom): ... Yeesh, another stupid list that Brian left us, hoping that we'll buy this stuff for him.

Mr. Falcon: *reads list* ... Paper Mario... a Nintendo DS...a magical pony... awesome hair--what the hell?

    Mrs. Falcon: Yeah...

Mr. Falcon: And it says in parentices "like Pete Rose". What the hell is wrong with this kid?

Mrs. Falcon: If only I knew, dear. If only I knew.

Mr. Falcon: Hmm...there's another list over here. This one's kind of weird though...

Mrs. Falcon: What does it say?

Mr. Falcon: It says: OB1...Great Rumbler...Weltall...that kid that called me stupid in sixth grade...umm...and there's some pictures.

    Mrs. Falcon: Of what?

Mr. Falcon: There's a gun and a knife and a monster truck that's covered in spikes...oh and there's a tiny bottle that has a skull on the front of it.

    Mrs. Falcon: ...

    Mr. Falcon: ...

ABF: *comes through the front door*

Mr. Falcon: Son,...there's something that your mother and I need to talk to you about...

Wow, Ubi Soft has finally decided to release some screenshots of Rayman DS! Only three weeks before release, how awesome of them! Whatever

    From Games Are Fun:

    [Image: 02.jpg] [Image: 03.jpg]
    [Image: 04.jpg] [Image: 05.jpg] [Image: 06.jpg]

Well it looks like a Rayman 2 port, which is fine by me. I'd prefer an all-new game but I'll settle for an enhanced port (don't know if that will be the case tho). I like how they made the touch screen analog part large and stuck in one place. That might be a big improvement over Mario 64's touch screen controls.

The game looks more like the PSX version than the N64 one, but hopefully it'll look better in motion. Mario 64 certainly does.

One of the first GBA games, remember, was a Rayman 1 port, so I'm not too surprised to see a Rayman 2 port once there's a capable handheld... Ubisoft releases the Rayman games on every possible platform so it was pretty much inevitable. If I didn't already have Rayman 2 I'd be excited, but I do have Rayman 2. I wouldn't want to buy it again despite the fact that it's definitely one of my favorite 3d platformers ever.

No, the first Rayman GBA game was a port of Rayman 1. I almost definitely remember reading so in the reviews....

Huh. Well wasn't there some problem with the screen getting cut off or too much zoom? Made it cheap tough.

Yes, that is true. Given that it's a port of a game designed for TVs and computer monitors, it like many other games had issues with screen size... I haven't played Rayman Advance, but I have Rayman for PC and I can imagine how frusterating that game would be if you only could see a relatively small portion of the screen... like with all major console ports on the GB, they need to do something about the screen. Here they just have it scroll and it'd make the game harder for sure, as well as more frusterating.

It's not Rayman 4, we think, GR... but other than that, yeah, this doesn't surprise me what with how little we'd been hearing about the game.
