My car got broken into last night at around 1 am, but thankfully my alarm went off so they didn't have a chance to steal anything. The only thing damaged was the damn right vent window. The thing is that my car was probably the worst car in the entire street to brake into because a) there's a huge fucking lamp post right over it, b) I have a good alarm system which has signs all over the car, and c) my room window (which faces the street) was open and I had the damn tv on, so the idiot criminals should have seen that someone was awake. So basically, I'm lucky that these criminals had absolutely zero intelligence. I hope those bastards get caught.

A 14 year girl broke into my car and ran off with my cds and left the door open the hole night so anyone else could have stolen it.

Thankfully her own mother caught her and brought her in, But I never got my cds backs :(.

Why steal from common people for music? When you can do it online and only Hurt rich gazilionaires?Sure its still stealing but your not giving someone a heart attack.

I say we should do like Saudi Arabia, Cut a arm off everytime they are caught stealing and you will see the crime rate drop! Or atleast a finger.

My dads car got broken into and the stupid fuck did 2 gran worth of damage, They stupid justice we got,My dad missed a day off work without pay just to have a Judge tell him the theif would get a shitty 50 dollar fine and 9 months to pay it thats less then a speeding ticket, He was not required to pay for the damages nore did the authorities do so . The insurance companies would not cover it since they blaimed it on us because one door waisnt locked even though thats not how he got in being the retard he was , What justice is this? The Victim is punnished for a criminals crime and he is given a slap on the wrest to continue doing more felonies. Thats why you hear cops getting sick and tired of seeing the same jack ass just getting off the hook everytime, Cops get fustrated they grab and beat the shit out of them even at risk of being suspended or fired.

A interesting things I saw on startrek once, A alien culture had a trial and a magistrate, Once the defendant was found guilty the Victims had a choice of options of what punnishment he should get, Weither he had to pay back money, Just apologize, Go to Jail. In the case of Murder they could decide not only to give him the death penalty but choose the method and the level of pain.

A couple of months ago someone yanked my $200 CD Player right out of my dashboard. That was an unpleasant ride to work that morning, I'll tell you that much. Fortunately they didn't do much damage, they simply pryed it out with a screwdriver, unplugged it, and walked away with the door still half-open. There's a couple of nicks on my dashboard, but at least I didn't need to pay for repairs in addition to a new player.

Now, I never get out of that car without taking the CD player's faceplate, and double checking that the car is locked.

One time somebody's beer getting stolen from the back of his pick-up truck. And it was at a party, so naturally he was fuming from all the alcohol he'd already drank. So he drove off to find the guy who did it, don't think he found him though. That's about as bad a theft as you see around here.

Someone stole my CD player out of my car too, unfortunately, they were very unprofessional about it, they tore apart my dash getting it. Worst of all, they got in through one of the back doors, which I had carelessly left unlocked.

Now I'm far more security-conscious.

Funny thing was, they stole the CD player, but didn't touch the five dollar bill sitting in plain sight on the seat, change from dinner that night.

I have absolutely nothing of value in my car, unless you're the kind of person that likes to steal bibles.

I know when I get a car I'm hiding the faceplate for the stereo when i get out at a store, or putting it in a pocket or a bag if I have one with me.
I'm also not going to keep origionals of cd's in the car, only copies

Ya know, the best security system in the world is owning nothing of value. Just use an MP3 player for all your on the go music needs to avoid getting CD players stolen.

Okay, so then they steal that.

Unless you mean those ungodly expensive players that can be portable as well as work in your car. Too rich for my blood.

What's so expensive about just taking the headset port and hooking that to the right port in your car? Don't have that? Just use the tape deck and a tape deck/headset adapter. Who steals those any more?

Hehe. What you need to do is like Jerry did on Seinfeld! Drive to a bad part of town, pull up next to a shady-looking character, make a big scene of showing him that the car is unlocked, leave the keys in the car, and walk away.

Then it's a theft, and insurance will compensate you for your loss. Judging from how you are so willing to dispose of your car, you could probably get a meal at McDonalds out of it.

Win-Win!

Maybe they should steal the bible , Might help them repent and stop being ass holes!!

Another option for you dorks for your sound system is instead of a stereo, Have a head set cd player walkman , This way you always carry it on you and they will have nothing to steal in the car.

I don't think you're allowed to wear headphones wile driving. Nor would I want to. Wearing them would prevent you from hearing horns and other such sounds you need to hear. Besides that, the cords would be annoying while driving.

Um... I think you misunderstood me...

That headset port isn't JUST for headsets. It just carries data along two wires basically. If you can stuff it into a dash hole somehow hooked to your speakers, there ya go.

I understood, I was referring to ASMs post.

Actually, I used a portable CD player through a tape deck converter for years until I finally got a CD/MP3 Player installed right into my car.

I dont know if its ilegal it could be some areas I would gather , As for hearing horns and shit, Dont keep it to loud.Thats common sense and it doesnt make any difference were that sound comes from.

The thing is people have headsets for telephones in their car, To be honnest cell phones are a bigger distraction since its takes a hand off the wheel and if your conversation isnt very positive it could distract you.

Another thing the stereo and sound systems in peoples cars are kept so loud and in same cases you could be inside your house with the windows closed and you can hear the lyrics and rumble of someones sound system driving by.There is no way these people can hear anything outside the car since everyone can surely hear them from blocks away.To me thats more dangerous then a headset and distracts other drivers who can hear it and causes noise pollution, But having a huge pimped sound system is like all macho for people.

I dont drive very much anymore and let my freind drive me around in his pimped 1980's Cat, People in my town drive like maniacs add that and unreliable street lights, It is a big city and I soppose since its my first summer here I have to expect people to be distracted by their party atmosphere. The Crash has made me more alert and afraid of other peoples driving, Everytime I go by a street and a car is coming , I always get afraid they wont take their stop and I could get hit its almost a Phobia.

Pops DJ's eyeballs with my two fingers !

Well, I'm hoping for a bit more than McDonald's, but I'll take what I can get. I'm pretty certain the car doubles in value when I fill up the gas tank, so I should at least get $50.

Oh, and I forgot about my bumper stickers! Some of those are probably hard to find, so maybe I can ebay them! Once I peel them off.

It is a rare manufacturer too. Probably the only Ontia in the country. They just don't make cars like they used to (thank God).

Bumper stickers are okay, but you can have too many of them... and yes, the worse the car the better more bumper stickers probably go on it. :)

I just don't see the point of a bumper sticker. I'm just not that interested in telling total strangers, at a glance, what I think about anything. I actually thought of doing it to be ironic, like bumper stickers supporting things I personally can't stand, but then I realized that would be idiotic more than funny.

I have all these random bumper stickers, like my "Killer coding ninja monkeys DO exist" one that I've featured in my sig, and another along the lines of "Even as we speak, ninja monkeys are plotting my demise". And of course a bunch of band stickers, and a couple from my church, and I even made some. They only lasted about 2 weeks until the first big snow storm.

Here is a couple of my favorites:

And something I thought about doing, but never got around to spending the effort finding a mutant fish.

I would listen to the radio, but the only stations are either pop, or a station that only plays classic rock, but not just any classic rock, classic rock that is at least 5 years old, or from an already established classic rock band. I usually listen to that station, but sometimes I just want to hear new music, that isn't pop

My dad has one of those Darwin bumper stickers on his car. It's pretty cool... I also have a t-shirt with the symbol on it. I like it. :)

Bumper stickers, by the way, are also for showing places you have been. We've also got one on our car from Pula in Croatia.

I have a button with the Darwin fish on it, but I think it would be better to have it on a car since so many other people drive around with their regular fish on the car.

I don't think I've been to those places though. :) And Pula has a nice amphitheater...

I'm glad you think so, other people's reactions weren't so positive

I hate people who take things so seriously, especially religion. I bet Jesus thinks that pin is funny too.

It was the same person who yelled at me for having a Bad Religion t-shirt. It wasn't even one of the ones with the logo, it just had the name

I've got a BR shirt featuring the boy on fire from the Suffer album with a Crossbuster next him. I haven't got a comment on it yet, but I'm expecting one sooner or later.

You can increase your chanes by hanging out with a pastor's daugter, or better yet two.
Maybe I need better friends

actually they aren't that bad, they're really nice actually, they just seem to take their religiouse belifes a little to seriously sometimes, like going after harmless pins and t-shirts

Well, that's your problem.

Someone who's devoted their lfie to religion and God I can, somewhat, understand being offended by such things. I thought you meant some annoying random person saw you on the street and starting yelling at you :).

A pastors daughter, eh? You little devil

I think it's funny, because it's not intended to be serious or demeaning, at least in my opinion. And I've always that the phrase "Soandso found God" was wierd anyway. Finding God isn't the hard part, since he is everywhere. It's the believing and surrendering that people usually have trouble with. ;)

When I was in Morocco a few weeks ago, one of my friends in a different group was backpacking throught he Atlas mountains and visiting people who live in these tiny villages up there. The story goes that early one morning he sits up in a half-exhausted stupor and says "Jesus- he does things to stuff". It became such a hit with our missions team that my pastor is planning on putting that on their new shirts!

That is, quite possibly, the single greatest thing ever spoken. If you get T-Shirts made with that, I want you to send me one!

"Jesus -- he does things to stuff."

I am so using this line.
