I downloaded the first episode at my brother's apartment [he's got a Cable line]. So far it's really cool, I'll get him to download the other episodes for me sometime.

Geneon just licensed Samurai Champloo, so now it's going to be a lot harder to find it for download.

That site won't have it, they're getting rid of all liscenced anime... though I'm not sure why they make such a big distinction. It's not like it's any more legal to be distributing anime that hasn't been liscenced!

It's the unwritten rule that sites drop an anime once it gets licensed. You're right though it's not anymore legal, but as long as an anime isn't licensed American companies can't do anything and Japanese companies don't seem to care.

I know, but they always seem to make it sound like it's so much better to only distribute unliscenced anime. And it is to a degree, sure, but as much as they imply? No.

Old thread, but there's been an update. Samurai Champloo, for any who want to see it, will be airing on Cartoon Network sometime the summer, they haven't given an exact date yet. Also, they'll be airing Paranoia Agent, which is a thriller series from Satoshi Kon who directed Millenium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers.

Just rent the dvds. It's a show about Samurai, so hearing it dubbed in English is just plain weird. And the translations are really off this time, moreso than usual. So watch it subbed!

It'll be on TV before the release it on DVD most likely. I'll still probably get it on DVD though.
