"We won't refer to it as a console."

"It is not just a box connected to a TV."

Um, what on earth? Tell us where those quotes are from, and the actual CONTEXT. What were they talking about? If it was a portable, well, portable systems really aren't consoles per say. I've always thought of them as a differnet sort of system. I kinda thought of consoles as "things you put on the floor and hook to your TV".

That's the N5, DJ. And Nintendo's few, mysterious, comments about it.

A few Nintendo people talked to N-Philes and IGN about the N5, and that was as specific as they would get. Those cryptic bastards.

Well won't THAT just spawn more waves of comments about how weird Nintendo is and how annoying it is that they're so secretive, etc, etc, and that they actually mean to give up despite this, etc... it IS annoying, isn't it...

Well, if it's the N5, and it still plays games and hooks up to a TV, then it's a console.

But don't let Nintendo hear you say that you think that!

Maybe the Revolution is a sentient being that will hook up to your TV, but when you aren't around it will destroy any competitors consoles in your house, and then encourage other household appliances to join it in doing the same all around your town. I can just imagine refrigerators, stoves, and dryers walking through the streets following these Nintendo-created beasts and destroying anything with a Sony or Microsoft logo on it.

ABF, is this really is as revolutionary as Nintendo says it is, then perhaps giving away what it is might not be the smartest thing to do. ;)

True. But it's frusterating. :) ... and given that for every good-different there's probably several bad-differents, I want to know which kind it is...

If the DS is any indication I think it'll be a good different.

Possibly, but wasn't the 'different' for some time now connectivity? The problem is we just don't know...

I would love to see that Derek. I hope you are leaking inside info to us. It brings new meaning to the phrases we always say like "Nintendo is going to destroy Sony this year!"

The N5 is virtual-reality! IT HAS TO BE!!!

Considering that nothing has been heard of the PS3 or Xbox 2, I think Nintendo is smart to only release a few hints.
