I do want Luke and Leia to figure out who their mother was SOMETIME, though... the books really should do it. I mean, it's been about 20 years now (that the books have gone past ROTJ)... it should probably happen in a book, unless he makes more films...

No, unfortunately he won't. I wish he would since I think his character needs to die a heroic death, but he survives after Ep 3.
