    Paper Mario 2 -- December 10th, 2004

    Geist -- TBA 2004
    Super Mario 128 -- TBA 2004
    Stage Debut -- TBA 2004
Kuju Action Nintendo Game -- TBA 2004
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 2 -- TBA 2004
    Animal Crossing 2 -- TBA 2005
    Game Zero -- TBA 2005

    Awesome, Paper Mario 2???!

If Paper Mario 2 does come out this year in the U.S. then you can bet the farm that WW2 won't make it out until 2005. Mario 128... ugh, if it's only shown in video form at E3--if that, even--then I don't expect to see it until mid-late 2005, or even moved to the N5.

Paper Mario 2!!! Paper Mario is easily one of the best games on the N64! I know that they made the GBA game but ... well that's a great game too, but more is better. I wonder about the graphics... it'd be cool if they kept the 'paper' thing, for sure. I thought that that was unique and looked great...

Rumor also has it that Mario 128 is actually coming along very well, a GC Fire Emblem or Wars game should be shown at E3, and that Star Fox 2 is looking superb.

But why on earth are they calling it Star Fox 2? It's the third game in the series (not counting SFA).

where's my penis?...oh wait, found it...

    hmmm...about this list...

Wind Waker 2 i'm interested in...hopefully i'll like it more than the first wind waker...

custom robo i've soiled myself in anticipation for...

metroid prime 2 will most likely rock my socks off...

Mario 128 i have high hopes for...

and Paper Mario 2 should be the greatest thing ever if it's anything like the first one.

    Odd...

OB1, you know, Star Fox 64 is actually pretty much a massive reimagining of the original Star Fox. They share the exact same story, only 64 expanded on it. That in mind, one could easily call the next shooter style Star Fox "Star Fox 2". Not saying they SHOULD, and likely they won't. The chances of it actually being called that are roughly the chances of Wind Waker 2 actually being CALLED Wind Waker 2, well a little greater, but you get my meaning.

Paper Mario 2... that's just odd.... First off, Paper Mario was Mario Story in Japan. Second off, that was just a sequel to Super Mario RPG anyway (now a series). As far as I can figure, this is yet another Mario RPG, the 4th one, done in the same graphical style as Paper Mario. Honestly I was hoping for a new one, but it's all good. The gameplay is similar enough between the 3 RPG games that I doubt it's a hint at sharing the same gameplay (they all shared the same core gameplay, taking it in some different directions, Mario & Luigi the most different amongst them). Perhaps that's just IGN's name for the title, since it wouldn't make sense for Nintendo Japan to call it that regardless. For all we know, it might even have the same graphical style as Paper Mario but not be an RPG at all.

Seems Giftpia will be Japan exclusive like the first GBA Fire Emblem, which sucks...

Times like this I really wish I knew Japanese... I would THEN wish that more than my PC and GB systems lacked regional lockouts...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to a lot on that list. It would be easier to say what I'm not looking forward to, but I won't because people will yell at me :D. Aside from uncertain names or details about a lot of those games, I'll add that wow I wish I had more money. Well, wishing won't make it so, not until I finally obtain THE TRIFORCE! So, off to work. First off, study alternate realities, and find out if all imagined worlds take form in alternate worlds like in that game where I had to rescue the villians. Second, go to sacred realm.

You mean a Starfox game that has nothing to do with traveling to different planets to blow up robotic insects over the course of the Lylat system until you reach Andross and kill his head?

Starfox 2 was the original title of the game that was planned for SNES which was very different than Starfox 64 and had a story that revolved around different planets which I assume was a different system and new Arwing that could transform in to different vehicles. I also have a feeling that we'll be flying around Dinosaur Planet in SF2.

I hope your PC can handle it. Once you play the game and see its insane draw distance, you'll wish all games would use the Crytek engine. Just look at it! It's CRAZY!

    That's some very awesome graphics!

My computer should be able to handle at least a decent draw-distance.

My brother's computer, on the other hand, could totally play it at full draw distance.

Well, that's impressive for land, but how's the draw distance for enemies and such?

Meh, doesn't look like anything good for the Cube until Pikmin 2.

DJ, you can see up to a mile in the game, and there are usually enemies that far away. You can zoom into them with your binoculars and listen into their conversations, too. Sniper scope ammo is in short supply, however, so you can't quite kill off every single enemy in the distance that you see. Also, the AI is superb and likes to hide in bushes sometimes.

It's the super-secret game being developed by Zoonami, a studio that was formed by a bunch of ex-Rare guys, Martin Hollis among them.

In Far Cry I don't think you can modicy the draw distance... but you can modify what it does, so that on lower systems it'd have sprites for the trees or low-poly terrain and stuff much closer than for more powerful ones. Extremely impressive... that first tech-demo of it though, that was nothing short of astonishing... (*remembers pics of the tree in PC Gamer*) But I bet my comp would have ... trouble... my cpu's enough (1.5ghz) and 384mb pc800 rdram is okay, but the graphics card... ack...

Here's an official release date from Nintendo, courtesy of IGN:

Quote:April 01, 2004 - Today, Nintendo revealed most of its 2004 lineup. While there are bound to be some surprises at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2004, this list reaffirms beliefs that games like Paper Mario 2 and Metroid Prime 2 will be sitting in our GameCubes by holiday season 2004. Also of interest is that Nintendo has confirmed that it will release an official 1019 Memory Card, although an official release date wasn't supplied.

Here's what you can look forward to in 2004:

    April 5, 2004
    WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$

    May 10, 2004
    Custom Robo

    June 7, 2004
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

    August
    Pikmin 2

    September
    Donkey Konga

    Fourth Quarter 2004
    Geist
    Mario Party 6
    Mario Tennis
    Metroid Prime 2
    Paper Mario 2
    Star Fox 2

So does this mean we won't see Wind Waker 2 in 2004? What aces does Nintendo have up its sleeves? IGNcube will be here with the answers this May.

As per usual their release schedule sucks up until the last quarter. *sigh*. Not even one damn game for all of July. Hopefully the list is incomplete and some of the surprise and expected E3 games will make it out this year.

I'm sure it's imcomplete but I'm also sure some things will slip... so we'll end up again with a bad lineup until about October.

They make good game, though, so, you know, I thought that their could have been some truth in there like "Oh yeah, I REALLY love them. *rolls eyes* ...but they do make good game, you know, so..." Something like that.
