No they didn't, one of the Sony guys said "uh, 3-6 hours I guess? Guh-hyuk!". Or something to that effect. :D It was never official.

And then he slipped on a banana peel and landed face-first into a pie.

You just keep on telling yourself that OB1...

Things change though, and this longer battery life is a nice improvement.

Seriously though, the battery life was never officially confirmed.

All I know is that that's what some site reported and according to them it was just about fact. Oh well.

I tempted...to do the "I don't care" dance, but...I think the "I'm about to pound your face into the ground" dance would make me feel a lot better...

Oh and OB1 THIS IS SO MUCH MORE CONFIRMED THAN THAT 3-6 OF COURSE!

    Rolleyes

Before you gloat too much, remember that this is just as much a rumor as that. 3-6 is still possible for sure...

Oh and how about the good (or is that bad, for you?) news that like with the PSX this'll be missing some features on launch? I see you dodged that one...

Dumbass, I still stand by my stance that we don't yet know how long the battery life will be.

And what missing features? I don't like to read most of the articles you post. So summarize them.

It's not exactly a long article! Lazyness is no excuse for ignorance!

Quote:I was sent some information today from a reader who has been involved in a focus group for the PSP. There are some interesting statements made by Sony during this particular focus group, which causes, at least me, some concern. Namely, some features which have been included on the spec sheet may not be included at time of purchase. Here is what we have learned…

    * The user will have the ability to save progress on the PSP version of a game, and continue the progress on the PS2 version of the same game (and vice versa). So if you own both the PSP and PS2 version of a game, you can use the saves on both versions.
    * Sony mentioned that they may sell a bundled package of both the PSP and PS2 version of the game to save the user cost in using this feature.
    * Some of the features mentioned on the specs sheet may not be available until after launch. Mentioned in particular was the WiFi and the ability to play MP3s.

Those of you who follow other Sony news will recall that something similar to this has happened recently with the PSX (released in Japan). The uber-PS2 was not shipped with all features, and was just recently upgraded to spec with a firmware upgrade. While I do not like the fact that some promised features won’t be activated until a future date after launch, I do understand that Sony wants to get this device out on the market before the holiday season. We'll keep you updated when more information becomes available.

It's not about laziness as much as it is about having better things to do.

And who cares as long as it can be remedied with a firmware upgrade.
