Two weeks to pitchers and catchers reporting... I can hardly wait... :)

    Oh, predictions. :)

    AL
East -- Boston... I have to believe...
Central -- Minnesota. I think they're still good enough...
West -- Oakland. Though my favorite team in the West is Seattle... Oakland just always seems to get it done...
Wild Card - New York. Very close behind the Sox.

    NL
East -- Atlanta. I know the Phillies are a popular choice, and I'd rather they win than Atlanta, but the Braves have to be proven to be beatable and they've had a hold on this division for so long...
Central -- I don't know... Cubs? Or Astros. I'd rather the Cubs, but it could be either one.
West -- Giants. My favorite NL team, too...
Wild Card -- no idea. Phillidelphia? Los Angeles? Houston? Arizona?

Oh, and the Mets will be in last place again. :) And I hope the Expos do well... I like them...

Yeah but Bo Jackson sounds cooler.

And I like this thread. I think I'll stick around to ruin it like ABF does to all of my threads.

Baseball is fun to both play (well I haven't in years but I liked it when I was younger...) and to watch. :)

It's fun to watch a live game, but sooo boring on tv. And that is an objective fact. :p

No, it isn't. Slow paced? Yes. Do I watch all of every game I watch? No. However, is it often exciting? Yes! And anyway the slower parts aren't so bad... it's a bit different than other sports because in baseball you need to fill in a lot of dead time. In hockey or basketball the announcers don't know what to do with themselves when there's a free second... :) Oh, and I should mention that I never watch national broadcasts or anything, just the Red Sox... when you watch a team a lot you start to like the announcers. I know I think ours are good... a million times better than those morons on Fox in the playoffs, I hate them so much...

See? I fell asleep just thinking about it. :D

You at least have to admit that playing baseball is a trillion times more fun than just watching it. But then again you hate physical activities so...

No, because as I said I enjoy watching baseball... I don't watch the other sports, though. They're okay, I guess, but just aren't as interesting to watch to me.

The Red Sox will beat the Yankees this year... I know it... or I hope it... with their improvements they should... and anyway, being second six years in a row has to end sometime! Why not after you get Curt Schilling? :)

And yes, the Expos are definitely a real tragedy. Its awful to see what they have to go through.

Wrong, Ottawa Senators will win the Stanley Cup. Bo Jackson doesn't play on that team. And THEN, in the World Cup of Hockey, Canada's gonna win that.

Nope, just OB1 trying to annoy me like usual and Weltall trying to annoy me because the Pats won the Super Bowl... :)

And yes I do want to do fantasy baseball again. I hope I actually make the draft this time though... :D

    Full divisions... why not...

    AL East
Boston (breaking 6 years of 5-team deadlock? Here's hoping!)
    New York (WC)
    Toronto
    Baltimore
    Tampa Bay

    AL Central
    Minnesota
    Chicago
    Kansas City
    Cleveland
    Detroit

    AL West
Oakland (Stupid A's! I hate them! Why can't they just lose for once... :) )
    Seattle
    Anaheim
    Texas

    NL East
    Atlanta
Phillidelphia (could win, but Atlanta is good as ever, I think)
Montreal (well not likely probably, but I hope...)
Florida (losing so many good players can't help...)
New York (they will still stink. :) )

    NL Central
    Chicago
Houston (stupid Roger Clemens... at this rate he'll have to go to the Hall of Fame without a logo on his cap... which might be best. I don't know if I want a Sox one and he doesn't deserve any of the others. As for why they're second, they just haven't proven they can make it yet... they easily could win the division, however.)
    St. Louis
    Pittsburgh
    Cincinatti
    Milwaukee

    NL West
    San Francisco
    Los Angeles
Arizona (unless Randy Johnson has a really, really good year...)
    Colorado
San Diego (improved but not there yet in a good division)

Glad you both want back in fantasy baseball. I'm going to try to get Laser Link to play this year, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to convince him. Do you guys have any suggestions for the league? I'm going to send out an email asking the same thing, but a little early feedback couldn't hurt.

Peter Jackson is a very good director. Bo Jackson is a baseball and football player from when the only sport I even remotely cared about was baseball, and a player I never cared about. :)

I need to ammend my picks since the Yankees traded for ARod and the Cubs signed Maddux. I'll also put my playoff preditions just for the fun of it.

    NL East:
    Phillies
    Braves
    Marlins
    Expos
    Mets

    NL Central:
    Cubs
    Astros (Wild Card)
    Cardinals
    Reds
    Pirates
    Brewers

    NL West:
    Giants
    Diamondbacks
    Padres
    Dodgers
    Rockies

    AL East:
    Yankees
    Red Sox (Wild Card)
    Orioles
    Blue Jays
    Devil Ways

    AL Central:
    Twins
    Royals
    White Sox
    Tigers
    Indians

    AL West:
    A's
    Angels
    Mariners
    Rangers

    NL Divison Playoffs:
    Cubs over Phillies
    Giants over Astros

AL Division Playoffs: (Looks familiar to last year)
    Yankees over Twins
    Red Sox over A's

    Championship Series:
    Yankees over Red Sox
    Cubs over Giants

    World Series:
    Cubs over Yankees 4-3

I see you predicted the Yankees to not win the world series this year. I don't think that's going to happen.

But of course I'm going to put my money on L'Expos this season. But dang, it's tough being a die-hard fan for a team when you have to 'die-hard' year in and year out. :( btw if the Expos moved to Virginia that would be just wrong. Why not go to Portland?? That's in a day or two's drive.

Oh, and did you hear Soriano is actually 28? Two years older than he said before... :D

The Rangers knew before the trade though so it wasn't a surprise to them... stupid Tom Hicks, making A-Rod his captain and everything just to trade him... and take on $67 million! Oh, sure, overall he gets $20-30 million more than he would have from the Sox, but still...
