You know, like those big game hunters with a wall full of heads...

I think the order of the list is pretty good too, and definitely agree with #1... :)

Why is the Lynx there? I had that system and it had zero good games. The clay Gameboy that I made when I was 9 was more fun to play with. Seriously.

Well .. yeah... (though California Games is pretty well known) Actually I have 100 roms for it but don't play them. It also has a buch of ports of stuff like Gauntlet, Centipede, Chip's Challenge, a too-small-graphics port of Super Offroad... no, not exactly the best game lineup, you're right. :)

Man, I used to play Chip's Challenge (PC version) all of the time. But I'd never pay for it.

The Wonderswan was supposed to have a 3rd version, the Crystal, which was supposed to at the very least catch up to the GBA in terms of sound, and at most surpass the GBA all around. FF3 was supposed to be remade for it. I haven't heard a thing about it since then, so either both projects died out (in which case, where's FF3?, and what of the GBA port I've heard countless rumors about?), or they have made the fatal error of being totally silent on it and it's still on. It made the biggest dent by taking a "whopping" 10% of the portable market in Japan for a while, but too bad so sad, even the power of Final Fantasy wasn't enough to make it last long against the GBA. I'd put it on the top of my list except that it was never released stateside, whereas the Neo Geo was.

If you read the article, they mention the Wonderswan Crystal...

And as for FF3, that never was released on the WS. They say that 1, 2, and 4 were.

Oh, OB1, how is that sad? It's an actual good game that started on Lynx... oh, and it's a different game from the PC version. For one, there's a story...

That page links a review... original and innovative, it says. :)

No, they mention the Wonderswan COLOR, being the second Wonderswan, not the 3rd generation that was planned a while ago, the Crystal. They DID remake FF1, 2, and 4 on it. It had SNES level graphics, or close, but only a little better than NES level sound, so while the first two got an overall improvement in every way (and finally got the sound upgrade when ported to PS1, and ported WELL at that, which the Square SNES ports can't say), FF4 actually took a downgrade in sound (though according to reviews, the graphics got a slight improvement overall).

The Crystal was, as I said, supposed to better the GBA in every way, including sound, and FF3 was going to be remade on that instead of the Color. Then you get to the rest of what I said, about not hearing anything about those two announcements since then except GBA and PS1 remake rumors.

One of my secret shames is that for awhile, a TurboExpress was one of my deepest desires.

    I never got one.

As they say, it was by far the most powerful handheld... sure most of the best games were Japan only, but still, it was way more powerful than the competition. I think I thought it looked kind of cool too...

The idea of playing real console games on a handheld was awesome back then. And the TV tuner also... cool ideas.

I did get a TG16 much later, with two games. They were okay. I'm glad no one wasted their money on it though.

Because I got it long after it was dead. Like... four years ago? The two games came with it, and I never bothered pursuing more.

Ah, well I just skimmed it. Just one sentence at the very end, oh well. You were still wrong about FF being remade on that instead of the color, and you being wrong is all I care about! :D

Well, Bandai gave up production of it's systems, so what of Final Fantasy 3? I wanna play that game!

Maybe not innovative, but definitely different. Read

    which I have linked already...

Huh? Earlier in that article they say that FF1, 2, and 4 were made for the WonderSwan (or color or crystal, they don't specify), and not 3... I don't know what you're talking about...

It was a long time ago, obviously, and I this store I went to had one on display and it had Tennis on it and I played it and thought that it was the coolest thing ever and later I saw one on sale at KB Toys for $60 and I seriously debated getting. In the end, however, I did not and the world is much better for it.

I regret not buying Jaguar, Saturn and VB when I saw them at a Kaybee closeout for $25 each.

I can part with that much and not regret it.

Yeah, I remember when Kay-Bee had very cheap Jaguars... I probably should have gotten one. And a Game Gear... and a Genesis. Kay-Bee had all of those for quite cheap.

Just get the Action Replay 4-in-1. It plays imports, saves games, is a ram upgrade, and I think it plays copies, but I don't know for sure.

Sega released about 5000 copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga as a "Thanks" to all the fans who stuck with the Saturn. Yeah right.
