    Yup, that's the title.

Quote:GBA Shining Force named and dated

THQ releases the first information on Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon for the Game Boy Advance. First screens inside.

THQ has today released the first information on Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon for the Game Boy Advance. Currently in development at Sega, the game is the latest in the long-running Shining Force series of role-playing games that debuted on the Sega Genesis back in 1992.

Resurrection of the Dark Dragon features a story that was written by staff that worked on the original Shining Force and will boast a number of improvements over previous games in the series. Battles in the game will be even more tactical than those in previous titles and will employ a new Unique Card System. Resurrection of the Dark Dragon will also feature three characters that have never appeared in a Shining Force title before.

THQ plans to release Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon in Europe in April. No North American release date has been announced at this time. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.

Well, sounds good... April in Europe? That's pretty soon! Let's hope that it comes here around then too. :) Well, the GBA sure is heavy on the tactical strategy games... Tactics Ogre, FFTA, and now Shining Force... after how the first two generations had almost no strategy games, it's a great turnaround and really shows how the GBA has expanded the GB's age market past just kids. Which is a very good thing.

Oh yeah, and Shining Force is a good series.

Getting Fire Emblem and FFTA for Christmas really reminded me of how much I love these types of games so this one will probably be a must-buy for me.

... but Fire Emblem is in a totally different subgenre of strategy games from Shining Force, FFTA, and Tactics Ogre...

And basing it on one small image, yes, it looks good. :)

I've been waiting forever for Sega to release a new Shining Force game! Does it take place after SFIII? Shining Force is an awesome tactical RPG series. Awesome, awesome news!

"Three new characters"... that means something about where it fits in the story, but we don't know what yet...

And yes, a new Shining Force game is overdue. Shining Soul was a pitiful title to be in this series...

The shots in this thread seem to be of Shining Soul 2. And as for the real shots of the game, yeah, they aren't this nice... but it is an improved Genesis game.

It still looks decent. Certainly better than the Genesis games. The screens are just blown up. Here's their actual resolution:

The problem is with the screen capture. The brightness and color settings are all off.

You're right, it does look better than the Genesis games... not as nice as Shining Soul 2, but it'll be a much better GAME than Shining Soul, so that's not so important. :) And it looks okay in its native resolution.

I was just wondering, have any you heard of or played "FEDA: Emblem of Justice"? It was the SNES version of shining force. I don't think it was sold in America but there is a rom out there. last time I check it wasn't fully translated yet. Do any of you know?

I meant to link the page with the shots, not the shots, because N-Philes doesn't allow linking... oops... anyway, yes, they look a lot better now.
