Anyone notice that, as of late, Nintendo's commercials have been comedy GOLD? They HAVE! Also, Sony's commercials haven't been all that good...

In any case, that Fire Emblem commercial about Blazing Swords is funny. Also, seen that Mario & Luigi commercial? That one's funny.... too. And another thing, they had some other ones that are also on now, and they are funny.

Prof. Persona: While that persona is an idiot, it's right!

Nintendo commercials... since the price drop, I've seen: "The Gamecube is $99", Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Fire Emblem, Super Mario Bros. 3, Rebel Strike, and Viewtiful Joe ads on TV... after like not seeing a Nintendo ad in months... but now (at least on the networks) they're advertising far more than the competition. And with GOOD ADS too! Its amazing... and great to see! :)

And this is a TC post, not RC. I'll move it.

There HAVE been a lot more GC ads lately. That's great, it took them long enough :).

Even though I don't watch too much TV it seems that whenever I do now a Nintendo ad is on. I've seen the Mario Party campaign commercial which is pretty good. I haven't seen Fire Emblem or Double Dash yet, though.

The Fire Emblem ad is cool... its got these guys (Medieval people) eating a feast. They're laughing about something over their food and saying that you can't trust anyone... then one drops dead, another says 'I poisoned his food', and they all laugh and keep eating... kind of strange, but cool. :)

And yes, it is amazing how many of them there are (compared to normal or to recent years or to their competition's current lack of advertising)... but as I said, the best part is that they are all good. No Mario Sunshines here...

Funnier still, one of the guys after that takes a grape out of his mouth :D.

Also, that Mario & Luigi commercial is funny. It shows live action clips of da brothers growing up and all manner of sibling rivalry. Then, it ends with "Join Mario and Luigi in their most ridiculous adventure yet." I mean, I love how they call it ridiculous! That's exactly what Mario is all about!

I've seen all of the new commercials expect for M&L and Mario Kart. Funny stuff!

The MK one has the press interviewing some presidential candidate that they don't show and asking standard questions about "character" and such, which the person won't answer. Then, someone gets hit by a flying green shell and it's... MARIO! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Who are you? Actually, it's the worst of the new ones if you ask me...

No, no, that's the Mario Party ad. See, they make it look like Mario is running for president or some kind of office, and the name of his party is the Mario Party.

    Get it? Get it??

    Oh nevermind.

Oh right, Mario Party. Just seemed Kartish from my memory of it.

"Mario Party" pun? That's just sad...

Yeah, I think the pun is a little funny, too... although I haven't actually seen the commercial. Is there anywhere I can download these commercials? I've only seen the Fire Emblem one on Adult Swim.

The Mario 3 one was okay. Mostly just in-game shots with clips from the full-length commercial.

The best Nintendo ad EVAR was the one from way back when for the original SSB. Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Pikachu skipping hand in hand across a field, and then suddenly begin beating the crap out of each other.

    Yeah, I agree.

I just saw the Mario Party 5 commercial, and I must admit, it was a little corn-acious. Ah well.

I only saw the full length Mario 3 one on the web, not on TV... it was awesome. :)

Corn-atude was high, but as was the hilarity! Mario Party!

    Oh, nevermind.

At least it was better than the Mario Party 4 ads. Those were atrocious. Then again, you didn't need to worry about seeing them that often back then :).

Download a commercial? There's words to describe that...

And yes, the original SSB commercial was MOST hilarious of them all.

You know, not even the best comic strips in the world are funny after reading them fifty times in two consecutive days. ;)

But that Mario 3 one was a REALLY good commercial... I think I got it from a thread here, actually... not sure, though. The full length one didn't have any game footage...

I just saw the Mario & Luigi commercial for the first time today and it was hilarious.

Anyway, I've been seeing a lot more GameCube and PS2 commercials than Xbox stuff. The only Xbox commercials I've seen are the Rainbow Six commercial, and occassionally the holiday bundle commercial. Nintendo really is pimping it this holiday season.

Thanks for that bit of information. None of us EVER suspected that at all ever!

    .... *ahem* OLD NEWS!

Good to relive a classic, but it's just not the same...
