    Anyone getting Viewtiful Joe tomorrow? You can get it at Best Buy for $35 if you use that coupon I'm always talking about.

    I'm definitely getting it. Rabid wolves with hundred dollar bills for teeth being ridden by midgets with free DVDs in their hands couldn't keep me from getting it!!

    Perhaps sometime in the future. Money's tight so I probably will be restricting game purchases until Mario Kart comes out next month.

    It's the coolest game coming out this year. Maybe not the best game of this year, but definitely the coolest. It's a side-scrolling beat-em-up that's crazy fun and super stylish, and you owe it to yourself to buy it!

    Actually the cheapest place to get it would be KB Toys. Why you ask? Well, it seem that some people didn't approve of some of their business practices. Apparently, they were selling games at supposed "sale" prices, but for one reason or another never did sell the games at their original prices. Since they lost the lawsuit they are being forced to offer 33% off on all purchases over $30. That would bring Viewtiful Joe's price down to a reasonable $28. Not bad.

    Yep, it's true.

    Btw, it's only in effect between Oct. 8-14, so if you want a good deal you better not wait around.

    Really? Kay-Bee always overcharges... I know that they always seem to be selling $50 games for $55, and when the NGC came out they were charging like $225 for it...

    The lawsuit wasn't filed because they over-charged [it's their right to charge whatever they want], but because they acted like the product was on sale when it fact they were selling it at the MSRP.

    I don't think you quite understand the situation. At KB Toys they'll have a sticker that says something like "$50", that will be marked out and inked in on the sticker will be something like "$30". They pretend that they are giving you a bargain when in fact the MSRP is actually "$30".

    Ah. But it still doesn't seem worse than those Wal-Mart ads and stuff that make it seem like they are "low" prices for games that aren't...

    That just says "low price", not "on sale!". Big difference there.

    I called my local Kaybee and they told me that no games were on sale, so I'm wondering if they're trying to cheat everyone again. Does it work with their online store?

    Just ask them about losing their lawsuit and having to offer 30% off for a week. :)

    I think it only works at their stores.

    I know, what fantastic news! Sure it's going to be more difficult for me to secure a copy of the game, but I'm really happy to see such an innovative, original Gamecube title sell so well. Now a sequel is pretty much guaranteed.

    And a sequel... that would be awesome. Viewtiful Joe is incredible... I wonder how they could make it better... :)

    Co-op! Sharing the slow-mo/fast-forward thing would be something they'd have to solve, but I think it could be done. And online play!

    Sure, sure, you can always add things to games... but the point is that its great as it is. I'm sure a sequel will be even better... but given how good this game is they don't really need to do things to make the quality higher, just to add more stuff... :)

    Not really, since having sped up and slowed down time at once IN the game is out of the question, simply sell a GCN add-on that speeds up and slows down time OUTSIDE the game, and each player can have one! That'll do the trick. Oh right... the one thing is add-ons tend not to sell well...

    Yeah but the difference here is that the guys behind Viewtiful Joe are actually very creative so they could probably come up with a solution to the problem.

    Maybe... but how do you do it? It'd requre some ... interesting ... solution. How do you do it? Have the other players all slow down like enemies when one guy turns it on, unless they then go into slow-mo too? That could get confusing fast though...

    The two players would have to cooperate real well. Maybe one could control slow time and the other could control fast time.

    Creativity is not something that these guys are lacking.

    Now if only Capcom's other teams had even half the creativity of these people...

    Well, I got Viewtiful Joe today, unfortunately I had to pay full price because Kay Bee Toys decided that they wanted to be stupid and not have it in stock, or they did have it in stock but decided not to put it out so they wouldn't have to sell it at 30% off. However, Viewtiful Joe was well worth the price I paid. Henshin A-Go-Go, Baby!

    I pronounce it "huh", unless there's a vowel next to it, in which case replace the "u" with that vowel sound.

    No, I meant when you are saying the letter itself!

    A = Ay
    B = Bee
    C = See
    D = Dee
    E = Eee
    F = Eff
    G = Jee
    H = ?
