    Did someone say The Biggah Reborn? Must be a Wheel of Time fan behind all of this. Or probably it's just a coinkidink, but I'm on a bit of a WOT obsession right now since Rand used the Eye to out-draw Aginor, kill a bunch of Trollocs and Fades, and then beat up Ishy for the first of 3 times.     They "both" claim they're not the same person, ABF. But I don't know how else to explain them sharing four identical IPs. Does anyone have any theories?

    They claim not to be the same, huh... well with four or five identical IPs, I doubt them.

    Yeah, I've got one theory. It's a weird, yet obviously possible, coincidence. I talked to *other name withheld* yesterday, we don't know how to prove to you that we're two seperate people. We both use AOL as a browser, so maybe that is part of it.

    You just <i>need</i> to dig up useless confrontation, don't you? Must be part of your genetic makeup.

    I won't deny I've made short-lived surnames, just like everyone here, but *other name withheld* is not one of them. Period.

    Hmm... it MIGHT be possible that since you have the same provider you have the same IP sometimes... but that often? Maybe with a small provider, but this is AOL... :)

    Arse logs onto AOL....

    internet routers send him to router A some days, Router C othera, and Router D once in awhile. These routers connect to proxy servers that have databases of IP addresses that they hand out to users.

    Eden logs onto AOL......

    routers send him to router A, Router B and Router E. The proxy server database just happens to hand out the same IP to Eden as it does arse. This however, does not happen a the same time.

    So answer me this OB1, what days and times did Eden and Arse have the same IPs?

    This is interesting. Looking at the IPs.

    EdenMaster has 17 unique IPs.

    Nintendarse has 27 unique IPs.

    EdenMaster has 6 IPs which say "AOL". He also has 9 that say "MarketScore" and one with no designator.

    Nintendarse has 20 through "AOL", 5 with no designator, and two through other addresses.

    Now. ALL of EdenMaster's 6 AOL IPs also show up among the 20 Nintendarse has. All six. If that's a cooincidence, its a pretty big one!

    None of EM's MarketScore IPs or the one non designated one are shared between them.

    Those are the facts.

    If it were less, it would be less of an issue. But all six of your AOL addresses are shared by him!

    Oh, here's a question. :)

    Why all the marketscore addresses? You use that a lot, I gather?

    If you were him too you'd have to close it and re log in or something most every time you post as him... and i'd think that some post might get through with that, but there are none, so that is something... but still, you have all 6... so I don't know.

    Here's what I know.

    I've known Nintendarse for almost 5 years, longer than I've known any of you. We both posted at Rarenet before TC existed. I didn't see him after I joined TC until Rarenet came back up last year, in March or whatever. When he saw me again and saw that I linked to TC, he asked if he could be hired because he was going to a DigiPen summer program and wanted to see if he could get any interviews or meetings with NOA as a journalist. That was when he joined.

    Now, as you know, EM has been an active member at TC for much longer than that. It doesn't make any sense that EM, already being a staff member, would contact me under another alias and ask to become a staff member... again. And if somehow this person followed me or lazy or j-Man from Rarenet many years ago, why would he use the name EdenMaster instead of using the name his friends already knew and respected.

    So it just doesn't make any sense, even with the IP matches. That must just be a wierd coincidence. I have decided for me, but I can't decide it for you. Sorry, I had to sneak a song quote in. :)

    I'm convinced they are seperate people myself as well, it's a matter of faith sure but I'm totally positive this is the case. AOL likely does ditch out similar IP addresses very often. Assuming they live nearby, and logged in close to, but not at, the same time, then it's not too unlikely. Now, I'm not one to believe much in coincidence. If the odds are confirmed to really be astronomical, then I will be forced to agree that it's completely and totally improbable for them to not have at least been using the same computer. If they are decent enough odds, as I currently think, then it's as I think, they are seperate people (or at least, the evidence doesn't go against what I think, that wouldn't exactly proove it I suppose).

    Also, ABF, did you check ALL the IP addresse they have used? You may wish to check further.

    What do you mean check all the IPs? I checked all the ones listed in the lists in the admin control panel... so obviously this is only their IPs since the VBulletin was put in, not from before that...

    Indeed. LL can vouch for Arse's existence, and I can vouch for EdenMaster's existence. In fact, in a strange twist of fate, I knew a person in high school who had previously went to school with EM, so there is no doubt in my mind that they are seperate persons and that this coincidence is nothing more than just that.

    I can't vouch for Nintendarse's existence, but LL can, and I've not no reason at all to think he's lying.

    We still don't know who messed with CD. OB1 thinks he did it to himself, but I'm not so sure...

    We also don't know who this latest fake Biggah is.

    And we don't know with absolute certainty that Nintendarse exists. He probably does, sure... but no one has proof. :)

    One thing would make this clearer -- a easy way to see when EM and Nintendarse posted with the IPs in question! But I don't know if you can do that... :(
