Okay first of all I'm not MIA. I check the board whenever I go online I just don't always have something to say.

    As for Avril:

    Punk: No
    Hot: Hell No :p

I thought she was hot at first. Then I saw her without her makeup on and realized she was just another average looking girl.

Some of her songs are catchy but not what I'd call great music. And she's pretty pop IMO.

Edit: Also what happened? All of a sudden I'm just a Tendite? I've been demoted? :( :p

Yes, Smoke-X...it's called sedition! And Avril is hot. I've never seen her w/o make up, but I'm sure it isn't THAT big of a difference.

I don't care if they wear makeup or not, I don't think it makes that big a difference in wheter they are hot or not, but that's probably what you meant by they want it to make a difference

Makeup of course does help, but I don't think it makes all the difference in the world...it's a definitely, grossly exaggerated industry. I dare venture that some girls would look better without makeup.

I find the shocked look on a girls face when you tell them that you're haircut at the barber cost less than 1/3 of what they payed to get their hair trimmed.
It's also funny when they find out how little the popular guys clothing costs and that whatever is cool for guys to wear at taht moment is not only avalible at expensive outlet stores but is also avalible at wal-mart for nothing.

Ah, Darunia's got one of them crappy Goron sarcasm detectors. Ask Dark Jaguar, they're totally unreliable and prone to explosion, not to mention missing obvious sarcasm and deteting it when there is none.

No, he usually busts out in Russian and makes fun of the red headed kid that sits at our lunch table. And we sort of have our own wars, the sauce/ cheese controversy is one of them. He always insists that cheese is more important on a pizza...which is a damn dirty lie and he knows it.

Erm... I'm sure my spelling is incredibly bad. Given that I don't really know how to spell in the language. :)

The other problem of course is trying to find a way to display the letters that have (inverted) hats -- c, z, and s... there's one, OB1. Any way to get z and c with their hats? š

ena dva tre stirdi pet šest sedem osem divet dicet ananiest dvaniest treniest stirdiniest petniest šestniest osemniest dvaniest dviset... and then 10 letter, tricet.

Other than that about all I can remember is mleco (or -ko?) and sladoled. :D

And yes, of course, that is Slovenian.

Uh... Spanish I know a lot more of, but that's not exactly a Slavic language. :)

No, OB1, it is not close enough...Russian is in an entirely different alphabet.

Slovenian is written in our alphabet.

Serbo-Croatian is written in both -- in Croatia they write it in the Latin script, but in Serbia its Cyrilic. OB1 just seems to only write it in out script since he was in Croatia, not Serbia. :)

Yes. And I copied and pasted that accented s from a croatian alphabet site.

BTW you spelled those numbers wrong. ;) And yes I know that's it's in Slovenian.

And yes I'm well aware that my spelling there was horrible... but I just don't remember how to spell them correctly. :)

Jedan, dva, tri , cetri, pet, sest, sedam, osam, devet, deset. The Slovenian version is close. And I didn't add the hooks.

No I meant what are you talking about? When did I write ana or ena? Or were you talking about your weird number "ananiest"? There's no such number in the Croatian or Slovenian language. And it would be "ajst", not "iest". Like dvanajst or cetrinajst. Remember, in those slavic languages, "i" is pronounced "ee". So get that "eye" sound you have to spell it like "aj". Remember Ajvar, that red condiment that was so popular all around there? That was pronouned like "eye-var".

    whatever is slovenian for 'one'.

and ananiest (and up) are 11, 12, 13, etc... when spelled correctly. That's how i remember pronouncing it anyway... sorta.

Er, any online Slovenian dictionaries? :)

And yeah, I remember that 'j' is pronounced as 'y'... just not what is used for the numbers 11-19. :) Such as Lljubljana -- the capitol of Slovenia. Pronounced Llublyana, approximately. :)

Actually it's spelled Ljubljana and pronounced "lyoo-blyee-ana". :p The Lj is actually one letter and is pronounced like a quick, sharp "ly". My mom's name is Ljiljana, a pretty common croatian name.

I'm not sure about slovenian, but one in croatian is spelled "jedan". :D

Yes, of course. How did I manage to forget that its one L not two... :( ... Anyway, I think that 'llublyana" is a correct way to pronounce it...

    And its not jedan. :)

    Nice website I found! http://www.ff.uni-lj.si/sft/

Its 'ena'. and 'tri' not tre, devet, not divet, dvajset not dviset, tridecet not tricet.

    And for the teens...

    11 enajst
    12 dvanajst
    13 trinajst
    14 štirinajst
    15 petnajst
    16 šestnajst
    17 sedemnajst
    18 osemnajst
    19 devetnajst

You still pronounce many of those numbers somewhat similar to the way I originally said them, but as I said... I don't remember how to spell, just how to approximately say the words. :)

One other thing I remember... telling time was odd -- it was like "three minuites after half past quarter to three" or something like that, I think...

Yeah telling time was all screwed up, just like everything else over there.

It's jedan in Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian, so :shake:

And you always pronounce the Lj like "ly". Lj is part of the Balkan alphabet; it's one letter. You never pronounce it just like an L. Never. If there's one thing about those slavic languages it's that they're very consistant. It's not like English where you pronounce different letters differently depending on the word. It's always the same pronunciation.

Er, Croatian and Serbian are the same language... :)

And I wonder how they managed to get such a messed up time telling system... its totally bizarre...

Yes, many languages are consistent in pronounciation. In spanish you almost always follow a few rules... of course English has for every rule massive numbers of exceptions ("i before e except when said as a such as neighbor and weigh", has lots of exceptions too... beyond the one mentioned in the rule itsself. :). But that's because of how much a hybrid the language is... it makes learning it a huge pain, since no rule can be universally followed for anything, but we do have a huge number of words... more than most any other language...

Croatian and Serbian are not 100% identical. There are a few differences between the two languages.
