Wow, I just got back from it. What an awesome movie! The story was great, the action was great, the music was great... everything was great! It was slow in some parts and the CGI doubles throughout the movie (especially during the burly brawl scene) were very fake-looking, but overall I thought it was fantastic. Revolutions can't come any sooner!

So better than the media's reviews say? How shocking!

Yeah. I actually liked it because it felt so different from the last movie.

    Episode II was no TESB.

Man...I have one friend saying it was overrated, and another saying it was the best movie ever...I can't wait either way...

Usually when people say "it's slow in some parts" it turns out those parts aren't slow at all, but in fact are just parts where they are talking instead of fighting, as though that's a bad thing. I'll be seeing this soon enough anyway.

Watch the movie and you'll understand what I meant by slow parts. The softcore porn Zion scene seemed to last an eternity.

I saw it last night at 10:00, it was cool, but I don't think it was as good as the first one, but it's still one of the best movies that I've seen.

The tag for a spoiler is... spoiler...

[ spoiler ] without the spaces, then just the standard anti-tag [ / spoiler ] without the spaces.

(Could anyone tell me that HTML code that allows you to post ANYTHING you type directly, without the code triggering? It makes it easier to post code instructions that way.)

I certainly have a lot of movies to see after my last final is over tomorrow. Maybe I'll just spend all of next week at the theater.

All of my friends went to see the Matrix Reloaded today while I was taking my last final. I don't really want to go by myself, because I am so sick of that. So now I don't know when I'll see this. I need to see X-Men 2 also. I should see X-Men 1 though first. I am so far behind.

DJ, there is supposedly a code tag, but it doesn't actually work for keeping the vb code. I guess it keeps spaces and tabs aligned, which is nice for printing code, but it still doesn't help for this situation which comes up a lot more often. And as far as I know there is not a way to disable vb code in your message.

God, Matrix was awesome. It sort of ambled out of the gate, and I was somewhat disappointed at first. However, my qualms soon disappeared as the movie and plot became more intricate and intense. Good fighting, excellent FX, and an excellent story. God is it good.

I'll probably see this either this weekend or next week... since I'll be at home and will be able to see some movies, maybe, and this is one of the few I'm interested in...

Oh, and I'd put Episode II right on par with TESB as being tied for second in the Star Wars series... after my favorite one, ROTJ.

SW EP2 was really the slowest paste of all the starwars movies , But it didnt get exciting till the very end.

The Matrix really blew me away the first time I saw it , So I will definently see all three movies.

Let's get one thing straight: All Star Wars movies are awesome, by pure virtue of being Star Wars movies. But TESB is simply awesome...the original trilogy is better than the newer one. Now OB1 will jump up my ass saying how great the computerized animation is better and impossible to distinguish (which is 100% pure grade-a bullshit), but I stand by that. Episode II was an awesome movie..but The Battles of Endor and Hoth were cooler.

    Darunia: You're stupid.

Apoc: Great to see you come by!

ASM: Go back and watch the original trilogy if you want slow paced. The very first movie (ANH) is the slowest of them all. But that's not a bad thing, you poor unfortunate ADD sufferer.

LL: X2 is a million times better than X-Men 1, but you really do have to see that before you watch the sequel or else you'll be pretty confused.

A new hope didnt have any fancy effects but it definently had a cool action sequience at the very begining, When the rebel ship got captured by a stardestroyer and Storm troopers killed all the rebels on board.

ANH had alot of darkness to it , While AOTC had a shawdow appear later in the movie,The clones did spark my interest explaining how all the stormtroopers are all the same guy.

Hayden Christenson Sucked maybe not as much as little Anakin but some of the scenes he did could have been better.
The scene were he was having bad dream about his mother was so gay! He look like he was whacking off!

Back to Reloaded I havent seen it yet , but I will tommorow.

I didn't see X1 and didn't really have any problems with X2, personally... perhaps some subtleties slipped past me, but I doubt X-Men ever was a series built for subtlety...

As for Reloaded, it was the awesomeness indeed.

ANH dark??? What have you been smoking, man?? ANH is the complete opposite of dark! Lucas got inspiration for ANH from old sci-fi serials and samurai movies. It's a happy, adventurous movie. You're on crack.

But they're not melodramatic or sad at all. They didn't even show Luke feeling sad about his aunt and uncle's death for more than a split second. Now the scene in Episode II where Anakin's mom dies? That was sad and dramatic. So was the ending of ESB. ANH isn't even slightly dark.

Yea, ANH wasn't dark...TESB was dark...that's what made it so awesome. All five movies save for TESB follow the same plot: Good guys get together, have huge battle in the end, win huge battle, save the day---or so they think. TESB was so original...they should've used it more.

Thanks, ASM...I hadn't picked up on that subtle message. (No-I'm serious!) OB1, four out of the six movies will have the same recycled main story, and you damn well know it. Three may be original like TESB, but we weren't talking about III, we were talking about II's lack of originality. At least I was.

Man it's just getting too confusing now. I preferred the simpler, more mysterious and origianl plot of the original Matrix.

So you wish they had kept it the same for the sequels? Yeah that would have been awesome. Don't explore the plot even further, just repeat the old one.

There was only 40 minutes of actual story, alot of it was needless babble, Pointless scenes such as the sex scene, Neo conversation with Zions Councilors which didnt add much to the story either.

The car chase, the battle with swarms of agents smiths were the only exciting action scenes, The parts of the story plot of any relevance was the key maker, the oracle, the architech, The plans between the characters.
