Remember, the Metal Gear game I played the most of was 2, which I played half of back in 2002. Since then... uh, I got the GBC game a few years ago and played a bit of it before losing interest, and got MGS1 for PS1 several years back and played several hours into last year (my thoughts are in the PS1 Game Opinion Summaries update I posted this January; it's not awful, but I don't know if I care enough to go back and play more of it...), but that's about it. Oh, and I played part of the demo of one of the PSP games once. I've never played 3 or 4.
I know V is supposed to have a lot less cutscenes than the old more-story-than-gameplay games, though, which would be good, that certainly was one of my bigger problems with both 1 and 2.
Quote: I think it's just cheapness on Konami's part at this point.I know Konami now is barely even a videogame developer (mobile games aside), but they had years to do this... that's seriously lazy. I don't care much myself, but I'm sure there are many people who would have liked to play 4 but didn't have a PS3.
