Hmm, religion... not sure how that'd fit, going by the article. I mean, on the one hand the racist element there might be easily tied to religion, but the Silicon Valley (rule-by-Google) and Kurzweil elements, no so much I'd think. I have trouble imagining tea partiers supporting the idea of people from Google and the like being in charge, and that's a big holdup I think. :p

Still though, if they could somehow make it fit, you'd probably be right. The far right doesn't seem to respect democracy much, do they. And of course, it's the attack on democracy here that is the element I probably find the most disturbing. Sure, white supremacist racism is horrible, but directly taking on democracy... that's worse. (And also, of course, democracy is an important way to protect minorities like those.) That's really, really horrible. No, I do not think that their idea of rule-by-tech-companies would have my best interests in mind! Google and such as-is are already about as bad in their fields as the government... giving them more power would make that much worse. And they don't care about people, just what they can get out of them -- money, information, etc.
