Yes it is. On both counts.

As an aside, did anyone else play along with the huge Potato ARG pre-release?

Nah, not really. I checked it up on it a few times to see what was going on, but that's about it.

I jumped into it with both feet. I followed every step and it was a lot of fun. My girlfriend and I eventually amassed all 36 possible potatoes and got the Valve Complete Pack as a prize.

I do see you managed to pick up two though regardless of trying Lol

Haha, yeah I picked a couple of the really easy ones. Spent most of the rest of my time playing Minecraft though.

Also, it's pretty cool that you got the Valve pack. How many of the games in there did you not have before that?

Precisely two (Deathmatch Classic and Ricochet). I did, however, get extra copies of all the other games (including Portal 2), so I'm seeing how I'll divvy those up.

My opinion on basically all preorder stuff: if it isn't going to be around forever, there's no point.

You could apply that same logic to making a sandwich :p

    And I do!

Really though, it's just annoying. That old detective game that had the "real world" innovation of a bunch of web sites and an e-mail server? I kinda wish I'd finished it at the time, because all those sites are down at this point, so the game's incomplete. A puzzle game is pretty much worthless if I just use an FAQ, so in the end I wasted my money. This is the digital age, there's really no excuse for scarcity of anything.

You didn't have to put down a preorder to take part in the ARG.

The co-op is awesome, by the way.

Beat singleplayer and co-op, took about 12 hours. Overall, great game. Loved just about every minute of it.
