So is this DS (in which case the graphics would be pretty bad) or GBA? If GBA, then WOW! Wow to the graphics anyway... The gameplay seems very dull...

It's the first true 3D platformer on GBA and it has nearly PSX-quality graphics... there was a preview on IGN a few days ago... however, because it's an Asterix game, it will only come out in Europe, like all such games. :(

    Old news.

    :p

Too bad it'll never come out over here, the Asterix games have always been pretty fun platformer/beat-em-ups.

Asterix is cool. The comic books are fun. I wish they'd release some of the games over here too... especially if it's something unique like this... :)

I haven't read the comics, played any of the games, or seen the movies...

The Asterix theme park in France is more popular than Eurodisney, I believe... :)

The second Asterix movie, Operation: Cleopatra, is absolutely hysterical. Unfortunately many of the jokes don't work at all in English, in fact I don't know if an English-language version was even made.

Asterix is great, but its style of humor is probably too Eurocentric to break into the mainstream American market. Still if any of you ever take French courses or something, don't forget to check out the franco-belgian style of comics... it's a great style on par with American and Japanese comics, and it's a good way to get to know French culture.

I've never even heard of this, but if it's only in French, I'm not surprised.
