Our version of vBulletin is six years outdated. Thus, Toven and I are asking you, the wonderful (and hopefully generous) tendocitizens to help out in any way you can.

If we raise $175, we can afford the upgrade to vBulletin 4.

If we can raise $250, we can get the full publishing suite, which will allow us to operate a content site totally integrated with the forum.

You can view and compare the features here.

We'll keep it going as long as it takes to get somewhere, so don't feel as though you need to dump something in immediately. Of course, the Tovenator and I will do our parts as time and finances permit.

Wiki says one dollar is called a loon and two dollars is called a tune. That's pretty awesome. So at the current exchange rate you have to pay me 4 dollars for me to earn 1 dollar in revenue and then there's also processing fees... That kinda sucks.

Why do we need to upgrade the forums again? There's only a handful of us here at any given time, and we've been doing fine for a decade now.

The one dollar coin was nicknamed the Loonie because of the loons engraved on the head of the coin, people almost naturally decided to call the two dollar coin a Tuney.

I Wish they'd make special commemorative coins featuring the Looney Tunes,Since they are American and owned by the Warner Bros that won't happen :(

It's not a strict necessity. But, Toven and I have been talking about doing it for years, and we've been waiting for vB4 to release.

Also, as old as this version is, it's no doubt full of security flaws, and we have been hacked before.

The normal exchange rate for the Loonie is roughly 70 cents USD And it has never been low to the degree that you stated. Ever since your economy went into the shitter the looney has now frequently reached near parity with the green back.

Well, originally the hacker in question wasted his time posting black penises on my site in order to sell pornography. It was only after I had his ISP shutdown his little enterprise, that he got pissed off and decided to expand his skill set.
