    David Carradine

    Best known for his role Kwai Chang Caine in the tv series "Kung Fu" in the 70's and its later 90's spin off Kung Fu the legend continues were he played a descendant of his original character.

    Was the title character in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill

    He was found hung up dead yesterday , The police think he hanged himself , Although I still think its possible he may have been murdered you never know.

    I highly doubt David Caradines performance in "Crank High voltage" is Oscar worthy material even with a sympathy vote.

    David Caradine would have to play in a controversial flick involving Gay cowboys before hand, Lose the oscar win over politics and then have AMPAS owe you one .

    Autoerotic asphyxiation? I've heard of it... and yeah, if done without somebody else around (to watch and make sure nothing goes wrong), it's very easy to accidentally die. So stupid and dangerous... sad if true, though.

    Besides even with a spotter that's gotta be dangerous. There's not exactly a large amount of literature on the topic of safe methods of doing such a thing.

    I'm getting ahead of myself here though. We really ought to stick with whatever reports come directly from the police team investigating his death and not run around the rumor mill. "You never know" is not really a good way to go about life. It's not like every one of these are equally probable. When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

    Well, it'd generally be with another person who likes it I imagine, and they'd take turns or something...

    But really, even when doing stupid things, the danger aspect doesn't seem to cross people's minds, really. Threat of jail doesn't often seem to deter criminals. People sniff glue, or paint thinner, or aerosols, or other things like that, and it coats their lungs and can kill without warning. Most people know that. They just either don't care or think 'it won't happen to me'... it's not too different here, particularly for people doing it on their own (it's easy to pass out without noticing, evidently... every so often in the news you hear of someone who died doing this. It's usually a young person, though... but obviously not always.). But yes, even with another person of course it's still quite dangerous, just a bit less so. Accidental serious injury or death would of course still be quite possible.

    Or with maybe a hooker, which are pretty easy to come by in Thailand. Is it that unlikely that Carradine hired a hooker, asked her to do some weird shit, and then she got scared and ran when things started to go wrong? Maybe Carradine had a heart attack (he was 73 after all, and it hasn't been confirmed that he died from asphyxiation) or maybe he really did choke to death, but the fact is, he was tied up from his cock and balls when he was found dead. He was a pretty kinky old man, that much is clear.

    "The book... was for me, it was my healing," she said, adding that it may still shed some light on the mysterious star. "There is truth in there, yeah. He liked to keep people on the edge and you know, in mystery."
