On the one hand, he was a pain to deal with...

But on the other hand, he was an amazing player.

Overall, I think I more miss him than not... sure he was a hassle, and was often unhappy, but he is so, so good... you should keep players like that. :(

Part of me hopes he completely falls apart and fails, the other part that he does well and shows the Red Sox ownership that they made a mistake... :)

Nobody cares about stupid and lame New England sports teams.

Good riddance to him. He was just an over-paid baby. Jason Bay is already paying back dividends.

Sure, he'd do things like randomly take off days with "injuries" no one could show existed, constantly complained about wanting to be traded, etc, but when someone's that good a player...

I'm just pissed because the move makes the Dodgers a lot better. Looking around the NL I didn't see any team that could compete with the Cubs, but now I think the Dodgers could give them some trouble in the playoffs.

Yeah, the Cubs are doing well aren't they. The 100th anniversary of their last win would be a nice time for the Cubs to win the World Series, wouldn't it...

But on the other hand, they're the Cubs. So we'll see.

That's exactly why I haven't gotten too giddy yet.
