Here's the situation, guys: I bought a Wii Fit a few weeks ago and sold it on eBay, making a paltry profit of $25 which was far less than the hassle it took to sell and ship it. Fast forward to today and I find that the people who bought it went directly to their credit card company and had the purchase reversed. Paypal gave me 7 days to respond, but I didn't notice the email until those 7 days were up. So, now I don't have a Wii Fit and I have to pay pack the $147.

    *Information removed until further notice.*

Your mission: Annoy the above individual as much as you can. Phone calls, emails, and letters are encouraged but please avoid threats or overt swearing. The last thing I want is the police coming after me.

Etoven, any additional info that you can dig up would be greatly appreciated.

That's not going to do much. What you can do is just not pay them back. Just show the proof that you sent it. You kept a reciept right?

I'll work on his police record, In the mean time I think you need to file a report with the OR police for credit card fraud.

That assumes he actually has a police record. Most people don't.

A receipt just means that I bought it and Paypal has already reversed the transaction. If I don't pay back Paypal I'll get sent to a collections agency and my credit will be shot.

Anyway, I got an email from this guy and, although he sounded a bit incoherent, I might be on to something. Everybody hold back on the nast emails and letters and such for the time being.

Repeat: No emails or letters until I find out what's going on.

I already phoned the guy and left him a nasty voicemail. I called him a thief and a cunt.

Actually, it seems like I may be able to get my money back from him afterall. I doubt it, but he did admit in an email to me that he received the Wii Fit, which might be enough to convince Paypal to come around to my side.

Well to be honest even if I thought it WOULD work I'm not going to start letter bombing a stranger with zero evidence of this. There's all kinds of wrong with that. It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust claims of foul play in general without some sort of evidence.

Oh, you misunderstood me about the reciept thing. I meant reciept for mailing the Fit thing, not buying it. As in, whenever you mailed it, you got some sort of record of sending it. I'm pretty sure all the major package senders have a signature confirmation thing you can pay a few extra bucks for.

According to the guy, he contacted his credit card company, they let the payment go through, and the payment appeared on his credit card statement.

My PayPal account sits empty and I am left with a bitter taste in my mouth.
