Didn't Bill Cosby invent polaroid or something? I mean he was in all the commercials. Surely it meant he was somehow relevant to the process.

I won't miss Polaroids. The only redeeming thing about them is their immediacy. This, to me, does not make up for the small image size, washed-out colors and the trademark fuzziness inherent to the brand. Not to mention the film was always very expensive.
Was it Kodak? My bad memory really screws up any commercial's attempt to get me to buy stuff by association.
