Yea I know this has been a thread here probably... what, 600 times by now? But I need it again... whence can I get (good quality) MP3 videogame music? Some sites have like crappy MIDI versions, but whence can one get music identical to the quality from the original games?

For straight music rips of cart (and psx) games (in their own formats -- .nsf, etc), there are a few choices, but good old http://www.zophar.net is one of the best.

For MP3 stuff though, yeah, it's Galbadia.

If you're looking for video game MP3s, it's at Galbadia Hotel. Doesn't matter what game. Odds are, it's there.

You can find some good quality MIDI's over at vgmusic.com, but if you're looking for true-to-game stuff...yeah. Galbadia.

Galbadia Hotel is a major location in the game. The character Laguna stays there and meets someone important.

FF8 DID have good music. I love the Balamb Garden theme... on the other hand, the rest of the soundtrack is pretty forgettable and I never bothered to download any of it, so *shrug*.
