I think Ash is the best he would so own those two bastards with his boom stick.

The creative talent involved disagreed on the plot. Namely, Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell wanted Ash to win at the end, and they couldn't come to a consensus. That's what I heard, anyway.
Would have been awesome, though.

Ash? As in... I choose you?

... DJ really doesn't know Army of Darkness?

I've never seen Army of Darkness either, but I did know of it. I figured the Ash being referred to wasn't the Pokemon trainer, but he would give Jason and Freddy a run for their money.

Quote:... DJ really doesn't know Army of Darkness? Are you really surprised? It's a cult movie (the whole Evil Dead series is), and DJ hasn't heard of other movies that are larger in scope.

I have heard of it though, and I'm far from being a movie buff. I think I saw part of one of the Army of Darkness movies once, some years back, but not the whole thing... so yeah, I don't know it well. But I do know that Ash is the main character of the series.

Now that's going a bit far. I just never came across it. Where would I have? The re-run sunday on Sci-Fi channel?
I did see what I now recognize as a parody of him on that Billy and Mandy show. I don't think I'd ever want to watch that series though. It looks like pure cheese.

It is pretty cheesy, actually...

Pure cheese isn't always awesome. It takes talent to pull off both pure cheese and pure awesome, but Bruce Campell seems to do it without effort.
Hell, I would have hated those Old Spice commercials if it was anyone else in a Hugh Heffner robe, playing the piano and singing about love. |
